Right? I remember timing each one at the same time and it was night and day. Took forever for NH to boot up and I was already playing my NL town.I just turned on New Leaf for the first time in awhile and this game loads so fast compared to NH! Plus your character's movement and even skipping text... Speedy!
Time to enter all these events!
I haven't been feeling the greatest lately, but I have to make sure I participate as much as possible because these collectibles are

Thank goodness I remember the exact date I last played (Turkey Day 2017!!) so no one will move out! And super happy I got apples 'cause I was OBSESSED with perfect apples in New Leaf
(even though my town's fruit was pears...)

I just realized for this event I get to finally play New Leaf on an Original 3DS.
I always had an XL during the height of the 3DS but recently I’ve preferred the smaller ones (both original and new). My original Animal Crossing save was transferred to my secondary 3DS a while back when I sold my physical copy as my main console already had a digital copy with my secondary town. My secondary console was an old XL but that’s now been transferred to an OG 3DS (the prettiest model imo with the sparkle and gradient effect) which I’ve only had for a couple months. Kinda excited not gonna lie haha.
Also the SD card is easy to access on the old models so that’s an added bonus.

At first glance I was going to pass on this Event, as I'm quite afraid to mess up my New Leaf save/villagers, but when I checked out all the activities... I just can't, these are too good! The ideas are just perfect and I've felt nostalgic only thinking about doing them. I guess I don't have a choice now.

finally uncovered one of my copies of NL and i've never been so upset that i kept resetting my towns, because i have literally nothing to give me specific nostalgia lol. i think i picked up my secondary copy as well which didn't help
I was so excited to revisit Feldspar, but then I remembered that I have multiple copies of New Leaf and absolutely no way to know when my main copy was played last. I have no idea what I’m going to do—nothing would be more tragic than turning up in Feldspar after 6 years and having a beloved neighbor leave.
I’m glad that people can use the activity log to figure out when they last played, but past me was ahead of the game it seems:
Starbell was my original town and Moondust was my secondary town started several years after. Also if I remember correctly I started these notes by just writing the month and the day. I later added the year and I’m glad I did.

Oof Resetti drove me up the wall in one of the games. He just wouldn't let me play the game because I couldn't type what he wanted me to do properly. In my defense I was young. So I can see why they finally had to curb him.
Since this event is all about remembering and saying goodbye to New Leaf, I thought it was appropriate to bring back this avatar of my mayor (credits to @Jint ) Can’t believe I still have my 3DS XL after all these years. I remember the day I got it and New Leaf and there being some sort of promotion where if you register the 3DS and New Leaf on club nintendo, you’ll get a free copy of pokemon X or Y. Anyways yeah some good times were made on this game and I’ve met one of my most wonderful friends because of it. @Nika
