Welcome to the closing ceremony for TBT's Season of Giving 2024! In this thread we'll announce the entries that have been selected as staff favorites, earning each user the classic Special Snowflake collectible. We also have fifteen raffle winners to announce. Thank you, everyone, for making this fourth edition of our Season of Giving event so special with your amazing creations and generous gifting. Together we raised a combined total of $846.09, which you can read more about in the event's reveal thread.

Let's jump straight into it and take a look at the winners from this year's event! If you'd like to see the full entry, click the image to go directly to the original post. Shop and Collectible Information​

If you're one of the recipients of a Special Snowflake or raffled collectible, we'll be distributing them over the next day or so. We'll offer date-changing for Special Snowflake collectibles only, so if you're interested in this read the directions contained below:

Spoiler: Special Snowflake date-changing information

If you're receiving a Special Snowflake collecitble, feel free to specify the date and time you'd like to be used for the collectible by posting a thread in the Contact the Staff board. The collectible's date and time will change its location in your collectable lineup. Please use the EST timezone for any day between December 12th and January 6th. Otherwise, the default date we'll use is January 6th.

Collectible lineups are ordered by date from newest (on the top left) to oldest (on the bottom right). We won't look at your other collectibles or help you order them. You must post your request by January 12th and we won't change them more than once if you give us the wrong date/time. Please submit this request via the Contact the Staff board only.

The holiday backdrops will disappear tomorrow, while the colored usernames awarded from the event's gifting leaderboard will last until January 10th.

Finally, the Christmas Lights are scheduled to vanish forever as always, so they will disappear shortly. However, let us know what you think. Should we make them work like the Valentine's Day Roses instead where they're simply hidden until next year?

And thank you Staff for not only choosing my card, but also hosting such a lovely event! The Season of Giving has to be my favorite event y'all host every year and I'm so glad I was able to fully participate in this one!!!

Also, on an added note, I think that Holiday Lights should be hidden until the holiday season! I can see this causing a LOT of clutter in inventories over time though, due to how cheap they are and how widely distributed they be.

I really like the idea of the christmas lights acting like the valentines roses! sometimes people leave really thoughtful messages on them so it'd be nice to get to keep them in our inventories after the event ends

Congrats winners! So many amazing entries! I do not envy the staff for the tough choices they had to make. So many amazing entries.

Tysm staff for the wonderful event! I really loved the charity aspect of the event too. I was really happy to see the charity for autism, cats and doctors without borders especially . I had so much fun. I had a rough start to the event but I’m really glad I pushed through it. I had so much fun especially with the season’s greeting card. I feel like I got a lot of art practice out of this .

Special shout out to @LadyDestani who again made time out of her busy schedule with the event going on to help me and for her patience.

Special shout out to @oak @skarmoury @BetsySundrop @KittenNoir @Xara @Muna @Halloqueen for the adorable stockings and all my friends who gifted me Christmas gifts & lights. I hope I can get you all drawings or something in return; still working on an art request (sorry it is taking so long >.<). I was so incredibly touched by the drawings, the messages and everything . It seriously made my holiday so much better .

Huge congrats to all of the winners of the events and raffles! I especially loved seeing all the postcards people have made for their favorite villagers, it’s very sweet and awesome!! So happy to do my best and especially helping out to raise as much as we could for the charities. it meant a lot to do so and I’m thankful for each and every gift I’ve received

Congratulations to everyone who received either a Staff Favourite or won a raffle! Thank you for the Staff Favourites as well! I'm really glad people enjoyed them, and they happened to be for the two I most enjoyed creating.

I really enjoyed TBT'S Season of Giving 2024, from the types of activities that were offered, seeing everyone's entries, getting to send Christmas Lights and presents, seeing the reveal of the collectibles (which were all fantastic), to being able to raise money for charity! It was definitely a highlight to end the year!

I'd like to add that all of the Season of Giving tasks were really enjoyable to do this year! My favourite had to be Gingerbread Monstrosities, since not only was it really fun to bake and decorate cookies (and learn how to ice them in the process), but to see all of the designs! I really loved how silly the task was. I loved the mutant gingerbread people especially. Whether they had seven eyes or six limbs, they were perfect to me! Every entry in there is genuinely a favourite in my heart, lol.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the extension of Myths of Merriment in the future!

As for the Christmas Lights collectibles either being removed or being hidden until next year, my preference is the former. I like that the Christmas Lights collectibles are so affordable, since I enjoy sending new ones each year. I think of them a bit like a greeting card, sending new ones out each year (is that still a thing?). They also take up quite a lot of inventory space, and I'm not the biggest fan of collectibles sprawling over several pages! That being said, I adore and appreciate every one I've received, and some of them have the loveliest, kindest messages, so I admit it's a shame to see them disappear! I can completely understand why people would want to hold onto them! Whichever happens, I'd have no reason to complain!

I hope you all had an amazing holiday season, and that 2025 brings all of you and your loved ones good health, happiness, and lots of fond memories.

It was fun, I loved decorating the workshop and doing cookies, what is funny is that only decorated cookies thrice in my life, and they were all for TBT , thx for liking them.
I have some regrets, I couldn't find the time to participate in all events, Myths looked so much fun! I had an idea but alas! Too busy...Maybe next time.
