Mafia The Battle of the Nobles- Endgame

Is it common for Punchy to be so quiet like this, I haven't played in a long time but I've seen him lurking the thread at various points in time and is posting significantly less than I've expected him to.

Right now he's probably in school but yeah I'd like to hear more from him too
Last game he had days where he was active and days where he wasn't (and he was town)

Good catch. Punchy is usually way more bombastic.

Though school could be a thing as well and tae *just* posted as well, so I'm not gonna hold """inactivity""" against people when we just started, lol.

Alignment indicative

Do you think it's sus? Why are you commenting on it

no, not really after thinking about it, just thought it was weird he did it twice, like i said tho there's no reason for him to be clumsy, not like it benefits him, just find it strange people don't bother even looking at the player list before answering questions like that

Btw, first day of the new college term and I'm taking 18 credits

Same, I have 18 ch of courses + an online course that I need to do 3 more assignments, an essay, and an exam for in the next three weeks. I just finished one of the assignments, so I can take a break now.

I am going to explain my read on Heyden soon, now that I have time to focus in a bit!

why wont you love me again toads. we were so close before the rose thing happened. ;-;

I do love you b, but never forgetti.... you weren?t even the worst during that game I feel

If anything it brought us closer

Unless he's scum with Dolby or Vanessa, there was absolutely no reason for scum Antonio to deconfirm 2 people and label them as town simply because they were scum last game. Plus his unconsciousness of the game early feels genuine to me. Antonio is town imo.

Every game we always have issues with one random person refusing to answer a question and it's usually not alignment indicative for some people and it ends up being a major waste of time and pursuance. However Evan, is the type of guy to conform and blend in rather with the crowd rather than stick out, since he's very lynchable (idk why honestly). Hence why I think he's town.

Dolby said 3 scum :lemon: idk if this was an honest mistake or not, but Dolby's not the type of person to dumbtell, especially having played the most games on TBT, so I don't know why he'd do so. Scum had like 8 hours to check in so I'm kinda leaning for town ignorance on Dolby. His other posts seem fine to me as well, contrary to what other people think right now.

I'm also slightly scumreading Ness/Chele bc I noticed them kinda lowkey defending each other for separate points but I have nothing to base it off really and it's just a weird hunch, so I'll come back later with more formulated reads tomorrow given there are more posts hopefully :')

This post set Heyden to a strong town lean for me, and here is why:

(1) Reads are very straight forward and logical. I like his call on Antonio in the first block of dialogue. I think as mafia, Heyden can be very wishy washy with his reads. I am not seeing this here.
(2) He attempts to cut the BS in the second paragraph. I have always been a big fan of calling out time wasters for town and I find that mafia rarely call out things that waste town's time. By stating that refusing to answer specific questions in RQS is not usually alignment indicative, Heyden is showing he really has town's interests in mind. The way the whole paragraph is written reads very town to me.
(3) He called out Dolby's small mistake (or non-mistake, I don't really care) calling out 3 mafia instead of 4. His point might not be entirely relevant, but the fact that he is reading and paying attention to the details makes me think that Heyden has little bias towards any players at the moment.

Based on these three reasons, I think Heyden is town.

@Punchy ; sorry for calling you a bad player earlier. It was dumb of me to do and I was just excited to get back into the mafia banter. From what people are saying, you have improved a lot, and I'm excited to see you play this game.

I agree with the first point particularly, I remember when I was scum with Heyden that I found his reads wishy-washy as well (and called him out for it to bus him :lemon:). He's definitely taking stances in the post you quoted.

Imo it's too early for a "strong town lean" but at this moment Heyden does look good. And Trundle does tend to make quick judgements as town iirc

I find it is easier to hard read someone than soft read someone. When you hard read someone, you can view the game as if you know someone is confirmed town or confirmed scum, which makes interactions seem a lot more lively. When I read interactions, I look at their posts once as if I know they are town, and once as if I know they are mafia.

i think it's ok for you to change especially if you feel like you want to be nicer as a player but u're giving me weird vibes, also calling out someone as a bad player isn't nice sooooooooo, weird things going on w trundle rn. the whole 'i'd vote for me' too just give me bad vibes, why would you also day 1 lynch yourself? like why do u think u're being scummy and what does 'if not now when will we?' even mean??

i should reread the thread, i only really skimmed it, toad and evan seem town to me so far tho!!! i actually rly liked evan's weird rq that ppl picked apart and i agree 100% with it but i'm too scared to answer like that bc i'm a baby

Do you like the RQ or the response because I really don't see anything to like about it (ftr I don't see anything to dislike about it either), and what do you think of the said people picking it apart? More importantly, how do you feel about his response to said people, because I do feel like it was the most... interesting part of his ISO to not reveal my feelings

High key, Trundle clings to me like a baby koala regardless of his alignment

This is 100% town mog, scum mog would be uncomfortable and seem out of it. Check CTSTP

i like the fact he thinks it's basically redundant to pick people out randomly to put on a scum team without any logic or basis. i do understand why it's useful for late game though for partnering people together (i still think it's kind of random though), when i was answering my rq's i was essentially just picking people out at random and i hate that but i just answered anyway as to not look bad (and yes i realise this makes me in turn look bad but i'm just being honest). they're free to pick it apart as like i said i understand there is certain benefits to it

tbh idk what u're talking about with that last bit but like, if he truly feels like he was just choosing names out a hat rather than choose people with what little info he has then i'm glad he said so, it makes me trust him a little more, he's honest and upfront that he's not going to scum lean anyone so early into the game. in terms of people being annoyed he simply said 'lol' i think him missing out the question entirely would have just generated the exact same conversation. i think it would have been far easier just to pick out random names rather than put himself in the spotlight at such a crucial moment (isn't he someone usually lynched early on for things like this as well)

i know nothing about evan's meta though so pls enlighten me if i need to kno anything u think

Dolby what do you think about Trundle's tone change and other content

Quick impression: I like his content past post 220 roughly, and am ambivilent of what happens before then. Personally, I don't think that his tone has changed during this game, unless you mean from past games. If you mean metawise, I think I noted earlier that he felt a lot more passive and (marginally) less emotional than usual, but consider it non-AI because in terms of general style, it casts off from both town and scum metas

I meant compared to past games yeah

I agree his more recent content is better but he's still on my radar

However I don't want him to be the only person we talk about today, hopefully more people will post tonight

also didn't vanessa ask trundle or something about his thoughts on people and he said there was no content worth commenting on, like trundle usually always has something worth commenting on. except for ur read on hayden u haven't cast any doubt on anyone have u? idk, u're usually a bit more confident with calling ppl out (and u don't need to be aggressive to do that)

after thinking about it i actually thought ur punchy thing was maybe a push (i think there's a proper name for this but idk) but like after u apologised and didn't mention it i thought maybe not

i dunnoooo i'm getting weird vibes from trundle still but i'll try be more trusting and maybe he is just trying out a new playstyle

i'd like to see chelle more, i don't think i've played with them before : ) so that's nice

Most people haven't posted more than the RQS, a lot of the currently active posters are giving me no red flags. I don't want to call out people I suspect to be mafia before they post more. If I call them out, they will have their guard up and post differently. I will call people out in time. Most of my good content is post N1, but I usually have some call outs near end of D1.
