⭐ Frequently Asked Questions ⭐

Q: How Do I Earn Tickets?
A:
The best way to earn tickets is by participating in one many of the events and contests! You'll earn fair-specific tickets for participating and some may offer additional tickets to winners.

Q: When Will I Receive My Tickets From Contests and Events I’ve Entered?
A: Tickets will be mass-distributed in batches and there will be an announcement for when these happen to keep things fir for everyone. Don't worry - the Prize Booth will remain open for a few days after the fair. You'll have plenty of time to pick up some goodies.
Reminder: tickets are not transferable. If you don't use them, you lose them! It is also not possible to exchange tickets with other members.

Q: When Are the Raffles?
A:
If you choose to buy raffle tickets, raffles for certain prize items will be held after the fair shop has closed.

Q: I Haven’t Received My Tickets Yet. What Should I Do?
A:
There will be an announcement anytime tickets are mass distributed. Please check your Transaction Log first and select 'Tickets' from the drop-down menu to see if you've received your tickets. You will not receive a notification for these. If you have not received your tickets once it has been confirmed that tickets from specific events and/or contests have gone out, please send a PM to the host with a link to your entry or make a thread in the Contact the Staff board.

Q: Will Collectibles From Past Fairs Be Returning?
A: Not at this time, but they may return in some fashion in the future. We have listed all available Fair collectibles in the Prize Booth.

Q: Where Can I Buy the Animated Shooting Star and Rainbow Star Fragment Collectibles?
A: These collectibles are exclusive to winners of contests (Rainbow Star Fragment) and events (Animated Shooting Star). They are not available for purchase in the Prize Booth.

Q: Will I Be Able to Trade Fair Collectibles?
A:
All TBT Fair 2020 collectibles may be traded with the exception of the TBT Fair 2020 Patch, Animated Shooting Star, and Rainbow Star Fragment collectibles.

Q: Is It Possible to Be Nominated for Multiple Events/Contests?
A:
Yes! However, if you previously won an event/contest and were awarded a special collectible, you will not be eligible to receive a second. If there are bonus tickets for winners for that particular event/contest, you will still get those though!

Q: How Will I Know When a New Event or Contest Has Started?
A: We have set up an Alert Thread where staff will post when a new round of an event goes up so you know when something new is happening. Please add this thread to your 'Watch' list if you don't want to miss any updates!

Regarding the prizes with limited stock (eg. physical items), would it be first come first serve to purchase those items?

(If is it indeed first come first serve, will there be any announcement as to approximately when the tickets will be distributed?)

It is first-come, first-serve. There will be an advance notice so you'll have a good idea of when to hit the shop. 🐑

The plushies may be bought in the Fair Shop with tickets you'll earn from participating in any of the events or contests.

The Animated Shooting Star is a special collectible that is awarded to Staff Favorites from fair events. :)

When does a week start for the switch stars/tip toe? I would assume a week would start on Monday but I just want to make sure!

You got it! The first session begins on Monday so we've decided to make the weeks Monday-Sunday. :)

edit to prevent confusion later: weeks are from Sunday-Saturday. See this post for details.
 
As for the amount of tickets we can earn from tip toe/switch stars, is it 10 tickets if we participate in for example one session of tip toe week 1 and two sessions of switch stars week 2 and week 3?
Just wanted to make sure I understood correctly!
 
If one forgets to add their username on a card/post-it in a photo entry, are they able to resubmit the entry in a new post with it included or is it a "you snooze, you lose" situation and they are automatically disqualified from the event/challenge?
 
I’m a little confused on the tip toe to the tunes event. Is it possible to do that event once per week? Or can you only participate in that event once for the entire fair? I’m trying to figure out if I can get the extra tickets for participating 3 times since I don’t have the games to be able to participate in switch stars

i forgot to add a name card in the cosy photo challenge, i didn’t realize it until a mod pm’d me and asked if could send a version with the card. then they just edited my post to add the updated version too. so it should work like that, you won’t be disqualified

I was wondering if contest entries will be anonymous to us during the voting period?

that question aside, this is more cozy than the coziest, and more fun than the most fun thing I could've imagined for the fair <3

That's correct! :) You may also do one session per week of only Switch Stars if you'd like.

If your entry doesn't meet submission requirements, hosts will typically reach out to you with what needs to be updated. Each event/contest may have different guidelines so it'd best to check with the individual host first!

You can sign up for more than one session to show your availability; however, you may only participate in one session total of Tiptoe to the Tunes so that everyone has a chance to. :)

This is a good thing to do just in case but the host will definitely be keeping track of the musical chairs attendees!
