Just wondering if the prizes are limited to one per person? Or is it possible that if someone gets 1st prize in a contest and get 120 he/she could just take the amiibo, notebook with plushies and carrying case or even just 2 notebooks with all 4 plushies?

There's technically no purchase limit enforced in the shop (to my knowledge), but if you've already purchased one of the items with limited quality (e.g.: notebook and plushie prize), it would be nice to leave the other for someone else who is hoping to get one too.

Will we always be notified if there's something wrong with an entry?

If you're submitting an entry to one of the events or contests with private submissions, there are 'Accepted' and 'Update Needed' prefixes. If yours needs an update, the host will change the prefix to 'Update Needed' and notify you. For all other events, hosts go through each entry and will typically notify you if yours does not meet submission requirements. If you're unsure, it's always best to check with the host.

What are the prompts you go through to set up a match/join a correct Smash Bros session for Switch Stars?
I am not too familiar with the game so I am a little confused by it.

For the Magazine-Mashup, are we allowed to use special brushes (clouds, grass, etc.) that come with the app, or do those count as special effects?

Brushes would be fine to complement the actual artwork; however, you would want to avoid simply using a brush to create a shape or object.

Question! For the write a custom dream prompt, are we coming up with an adjective OR noun for our existing theme, or are we making an entirely new theme?

You'll want to submit new words and they do not have to be based on your current theme! You can also submit both an adjective and a noun but please note that you'll only get tickets for one of your word submissions.

Tickets will be handed out after the event/round ends!

As for Half-Past Hoodwinked, you'll get four tickets per round for participating and giving it your best shot (even if it's not 100% correct). The winner (first to crack each code) will get bonus tickets.

To confirm for Half-Past Hoodwinked submissions: you will only get four tickets for having the correct answer.

@Snowesque I turned on my Switch so I'll make sure I add you! No worries on being rusty as the games are just for fun. Haven't played the game in a few months myself!

There is likely to be some overlap but everyone is bound to have their own unique take in some way even if there are some similarities. For example, many have taken inspiration from the same character like Celeste and added some of the same elements (e.g.: galaxies) yet there are still differences in each of them.

I noticed that many AC game-based events are based of NH and understandably so considering it's the newest and most played. Feel like TBTers that only play older titles will not be able to participate in many of those events

Nope, I'm afraid this would defeat the point! In that scenario we would just be rewarding the fastest person to submit the answer rather than the first person to solve the mirror or crack the code.

It can be whichever character you want to see in the banner. Some users share their islands with parents, partners, and siblings so it would be unfair of us to say it has to be the island rep!

If you're unsure how to lay it out then I would suggest Googling magazine covers, downloading a digital magazine, or checking out the magazine section next time you're in a physical shop (take hand sanitiser!).

I'm afraid not! We have run countless events over the years for other Animal Crossing titles. To keep things fresh, rather than just rehashing old ideas, we have specifically designed our TBTF 2020 events with New Horizons features in mind.

In your sidebar, the top left collectible is the newest and the bottom right is the oldest. So, if you want them to show up like this:

You need to buy the purple first, and the red last.
But actually, I'm not sure about need ting to buy them separately or not… So probably wait for someone else to answer that ^^;

I'm confused by how you earn tickets for Switch Stars and Tiptoe Tunes. Do you get 5 tickets if you participate in either one and that's it? Or is it 5 tickets for playing once a week? Or 5 tickets for each one? Or 5 tickets per session played?

So I got a perfect shot for the starry snaps contest.. the problem is it's not on my actual island rep character. I somehow didn't internalize the rules were saying to use your island rep which is my bad.

Would it be okay to submit an entry where it isn't my island rep specifically, but another villager I have on my island? I still have a shot with my user name typed out and all that to confirm it's me. The player character in the picture is even called Shep.

I made the mistake of making my official island rep an OC since I didn't realize I could only have one island rep...​
