➹ The Hunger Games ➹ STARTED

Talon saw the girl had no interest and decided to keep going through the trees, finally he came upon a lake covered with ice, he could try and use his matches to burn through the ice but the smoke would most likely catch attention. He then noticed something rustling in the bushes and it was where the snowballs pelting the D3 female were coming from. The D3 girl aimlessly walking around not paying attention to her surroundings. "Pathetic he whispered."

Abram continued to run, ad looked back, far away from the two boys. "I just want to survive..." He mumbed, and plopped onto the snow. He grabbed is empty water canister, and sighed. Abram grabbed an apple, and leaned against a tree while eating it. He finished eating the apple and threw it back in the backet. Abram picked his stuff back up and started to walk. He saw a frozen lake, and started to run towards it, unaware someone was there. He kneeled by it and grabbed an arrow, hitting the ice. Small chunks came off, and he put them in his water canister. Once it was fairly full, he stood up and spotted a tribute while turning around. He froze, staring at them. "Please, d-don't hurt me," Abram said shakily.

April left to go get wood for the fire. It was hard to find any wood that wasn't soaked with snow. I'm pretty far from the Cornucopia. Where can I find the stinking firewood? She kept on walking, depending on her footprints to bring her back. Step by step, inch by inch. She looks ahead, nothing but dark green pine trees ahead. In the sea of green she spotted a little shimmer of light green in a far away tree. She followed it. It was the same green hair of Alice, the District 10 female tribute. She was asleep on the branch of a tree. Forgetting about the firewood, she pulled a knife out of her bag.

Talon saw the girl had no interest and decided to keep going through the trees, finally he came upon a lake covered with ice, he could try and use his matches to burn through the ice but the smoke would most likely catch attention. He then noticed down below him was the D7 boy throwing snowballs at the D3 girl aimlessly waling around not paying attention to her surroundings. "Pathetic he whispered." He saw the boy had a throwing knife, Talon wasn't going to take chances, he had a nice in his backpack too but he couldn't throw it to save his life. Right now he was imagining the District 4 boy and girl in training and how they were so extremely skilled with throwing knives. He was wishing he could be able to do what they did. He decided to play a little game and so he packed some snow that was on the branch of the tree and then threw it at the boy hitting him in the head, he then quickly hid out of view. He laughed a bit, but very quietly.

sorry to seem rude but this is hella mary sue
the kid was covered in leaves and leaning back so he wouldn't be seen
also since he was up in the trees it was for definite you wouldn't hit him in the head]]

Fleck awoke with a start, peering around carefully. She didn't rustle any of the leaves or twigs covering her, however.
She looked and saw a small boy with a water canister near the frozen lake she had set up camp at. She watched what happened, and as he stepped back in fear of another tribute. Two tributes were near her, apparently.
Fleck held her breath and prayed they wouldn't see her.

(ok sorry, but this isn't your rp and it doesn't have to be extremely perfect and it isn't hella mary sue maybe a bit, I didnt see in the post that he was hidden in the bushes, besides if he was throwing snowballs there would be some sort f movement for someone to detect, and it wouldn't be completely impossible if someone was in a tree for them to hit someone with a snowball, if you have any further concerns please pm me, there were people who were being way more mary sue about things and you didn't call them out so I don't like you personally saying it in the thread, please pm someone if you are concerned about their roleplaying and tell me too. Not trying to be rude.)

i dont exactly look through every post and tbh i dont have time to
point out some people that seem mary sueish and ill call them out
yes, there would be movement, but i'm 110% sure your character wouldn't arrive in the nick of time to see it]]

Talon had gotten scared. The D8 tribute boy had now arrived and he felt more people would arrive soon, at least they weren't the careers though. Talon had to get out of this quickly, even if it caused attention. Talon made a very loud rustle in the tree and cursed. He quickly climbed to a different tree right next to the one he was in and climbed down. He ran to the left of the lake probably being seen by everyone but he was out of reach of everyone. He looked at the D8 boy and the D3 female as the both turned their heads toward him. He turned around and ran into the forest.

EDIT:Both PacificMayorAlex's characters were killed off since she was inactive

Zoraida had started clearing a main area of snow away for the fireplace, making a large area free of snow for it, by the time Silver returned. Seeing her hold the bundles to bury, Zora nodded and stood up, momentarily retrieving her pickax and the now blood free knife. "Ugh, where has everyone run off to now? It's like i'm missing out on all the fun. We should save at least some excitement for the following day, ya know." she pouted while walking with Silver to the outer ring of the forest line. "While we bury these, maybe we should look for at least April. Maybe the others are hunting already, but getting firewood shouldn't have taken this long." Zora knew April could hold her own, but the only thing she could think of, was maybe she found something interesting. Zoraida grinned towards Silver and teased her, like an older sister would. "It's like you all love getting into trouble so soon. Tell me Silver, were you always so troublesome?" Her voice stretched out nonchalantly like a lounging panther, her carefree strides reflecting her attitude. Pickax in her right hand, she swung in around playfully like she had earlier, doing anything to distract and relax the two.

Miriam stared at the man who just into the snowy forest. "Hey!" She yelled, her attention being grabbed by the man instantly, like a brash idiot, and she ran after him, running awkwardly with her back arched forward due to her sticksicle, completely ignoring the cries her body were making for water and food, her eyes drooping. "Was it you with the snowballs, pelting them at me like some sort of annoying child?" She growled.

Talon saw the girl chase him and quickly climbed a tree then looked down at her. "It wasn't me, but whoever did do it must've not had a bad idea." He smirked. "If you really wanna survive this I would suggest not wandering aimlessly, there was already more than 2 people watching you, you were lucky someone didn't kill you." Talon looked at her. "Say what's your name? Your the girl from District 3, am I correct?" Talon said as he went to push his glasses up as he realized they weren't there since he was given contacts to wear in the arena, it was a habit of him to do it whenever he thought he was being smart or boastful.

Silver looked at Zoraida. "I mean I guess I was a little mischievous" she gave Zoraida a look telling her to not ask more. She thought of if the cameras were on her, she definitely couldn't say anything that she did without getting in big trouble for it, that is, if she even made it out alive. By the look Zoraida gave back, Silver could tell she understood. "Say, how about I go round up some game possibly, Silver took the bow that was slung over her shoulder into her hand. "There's bound to be a few rabbits if some sort." Silver rubbed her fingers across the bow, it had a nice shiny look to it, it was a bit different than the ones she and her father used in the woods. "Or I could gather berries and herbs, or possibly set a few snares or traps..." An idea came to her. "I can use the rope at the cornucopia to create a net, we can use that as a trap, to catch tributes, I was taught a lot on how to make nets back in 4. It will however take me some time to make one." Silver grinned devillishly.

Zoraida's lips turned into a wide grin that mirrored her companion. "I like your style, wildfire." Zora stopped walking once they were by a large tree. Squatting down, she started hacking at the snow with her pickax, digging a hole underneath the trees large roots to hide the get away bag. As she slung the pickax over her shoulder and thrust it into the ground, she said between each hack. "Set out a few traps for game while we are out here then, or go hunting. Just don't stray too far, stick by me. I don't want to keep getting separated like we all have since we've gotten here. Plus I like your presence." The last sentence came out begrudgingly and a bit hard to hear, as if admitting she liked company was hard for her to confess.

She hissed and slowed down, scowling at the boy in the tree. Miriam raised a lens up to her eye, inspecting the man. "M'names Miriam and I, in fact, am the district three girl! You're one of those... farmers, no?" She muttered, her voice getting lower and calmer through her speech, stopping her rage in an instant, like a squirrel. "It doesn't really matter, too, one of the career boys and girls will win, they've trained their whole bloody lives for this bull. Next, before I get carried away with mindless talk to you... if you're going to try to kill me, hurry it up, will you? I'm sort of tired, and I need something to give me some adrenaline." She fake-yawned, baring her own gesture. That'll show him.

Silver nodded and went into the forest not too far with her bow. After what seemed like forever she saw a rabbit covered in white out of the corner of her eye. She quietly turned around and shot it right in the throat. She went and picked up the dead rabbit, she needed some more game though, she continued to hunt. Silver thought about what Zoraida said and she enjoyed Zoraida's company too.

Talon looked down at the girl. "Nah I don't like it when people expect me to kill them, and I don't like to kill people using weapons really." He smirked. "And just because they've been training all their lives doesn't mean their gonna win, they're arrogant and air-headed. Besides sometimes mental power beats physical power." Talon grinned at the girl then threw down a cracker from the pack of crackers in his bag to her. "Enjoy it while it lasts"

Zoraida finally broke through the thick, frost coated earth. After what seemed like a bit, she made a hole big enough to fit the bag in, and covered it with snow and a bit of dirt. I was well hidden enough where only those who knew where it was, would be able to obtain it. Standing up she moved on to another tree, heading west. She wanted a bag in every main compass direction; the whole time she moved, she staid in Silvers earshot and in sight. She wanted to gain trust from her fellow career and also wanted her to know where the bags will be buried in the future. "We're gonna need a hell of a lot more than that oversize rat." She called over her shoulder upon noticing Silver's successful snag. Food wasn't really a priority due to them having gotten a lot of leftovers from the bloodbath, but it was a way to kill the time. She wasn't exactly happy spending her time like this, but went along with it. She would rather go to their camp and set traps and do night watches. Something just felt off. Where were the others? Where had April gone? Everything wasn't going according to plan, and it irked her. Now wasn't the time to go frolic, flirt and dance in the forest like woodland nymphs. Time was of the essence and they needed their energy and to prepare, not run off and do whatever each other pleased; this was the hunger games after all, and as a career they needed their base secure before being able to leave it and go hunting. It's idiotic to go raid other fortresses all while leaving yours defenseless and vulnerable. Zoraida scoffed at the thought. They were a team after all. Zora wanted to explain this to Silver but she felt they both silently knew, and were just avoiding the elephant in the forest.

It felt eerie to be alone for so long. Where's everyone else? How far have I gone? The joy of finding the green-haired girl sleeping up in a tree was consumed by the fear of being lost in an unknown forest somewhere. April was about to throw the knife at Alice when she heard slow footsteps. She saw Silver several yards away walking quietly. She was flushed with relief. "Yo Silver! Come here, look who I found!" Silver looked annoyed, "Shhh!" he said harshly. "Sorry," April mouthed out reluctantly. She motioned for her to come over where she was. "This better be important," she said. April pointed at the green-haired girl in the tree. Alice was camouflaged well, but her bright green hair was a dead giveaway.

"Uuuh, when a game revolves around killing everyone until you're the last one standing, mental power only plays a, let's say, 0.5% part of it, unless you're fighting inside of a clockwork tower. And whaddya mean you don't like it when people know you're going to kill them? Are you an assassin?" She murmured, cocking her head to catch the cracker in her mouth, practically swallowing it whole. "Thank you." She grinned, eating the cracker. As it would, she completely forgot about what was going on, as if she was talking to a normal person in a normal tree on a normal day. He wouldn't kill her just yet, she assumed, as he wasted a cracker on her, when she would've probably just driven herself to starvation. "I'm not exactly a combat lady, anyway, I make electric stuff. Barren wastelands aren't my thing."

Zoraida noticed Silver being drawn away and immediately followed. She bit her lip and it took every once of her not to slap the **** out of April for being gone so long, but upon seeing where April was pointing, she knew why. "Idiot, when your hollering around like that?!" Zora hissed to April while creeping over carefully, trying not to make too much noise. "You might as well be waving a sign saying, hey, we're here to come gut your ass!" Zoraida pouted at the blonde. Although her words seemed harsh, her eyes reflected a doting concern. "Why didn't you take her out by now? I doubt she she's tagging with others."

"Sorry I've been gone so long. I... uh.. I couldn't find any firewood," April says sheepishly. She grabs a knife and begins to aim at the girl. I just can't screw this up. She shuts her left eye, takes aim... Flings the knife at the girl. The knife goes flying and buries itself in the side of the girl's head. "Ughh," moaned the girl as her head toppled to the side. The cannon boomed shortly after. April let out a prideful smile. "Come on guys, we should get some rest. We've got plenty of food."

Zoraida smiled congratulatory to April. She strode over and snagged the knife from the corpses head, before walking back to the group. "Come on, lets get out of here before the hovercraft gives us away." Zoraida started a light jog back to where they came from with April and Silver until they were safe enough. Slowing her speed she caught April up on what they've achieved. "Silver here is planning on setting us up with some sweet traps to secure the cornucopia. We should secure it before hunting tomorrow. She also managed to retrieve us some firewood, while you were having a flashback of some sorts." She teased slightly, referring to how April stood there idly for a bit, while handing her back the knife.

"So who gets the first night shift?" April was super energetic. "I can do it, I'm not tired, heck I could stay up all night if I wanted to." She ripped a handful of pine needles from a tree. She sniffed in deeply. "Reminds me of home," she said. "We used to play in the snow with my younger brothers. Then my mom would call us in and we'd drink hot chocolate by the campfire." She stopped, the others kept on walking a few paces before they noticed she had stopped. "April, what gives?" said Zoraida. Her eyes were fixated at some point in the distance. "What if I never see them again?" she said staring ahead, "My mom and dad, and my little brothers. I've been training for this all my life, but... I might never see them again." This was the first time she had ever been nervous about the games. "That's part of the game," said Silver.
