I wouldn’t say that’s true. I’ve seen good and bad 2D/3D animation. Just really depends on the animation. Sometimes 2D can be too artsy. Sometimes 3D can be poorly animated or have terrible lighting, but I’ve seen some of both that are truly amazing.
It looks cool, but I've never got into or played it. It looks like one of those games where you would have to spend a lot of time in game to build semi-decent things. I don't have as much time as I used to, to sink into long games like that. It's sort of why I avoid a lot of rpgs and games that follow a similar formula nowadays. I just don't have the time, even if they look like they would be fun.
