i think it looks alright myself, maybe you are thinking of it in comparison of nl graphics? since for what i see the new graphics are much better and more detailed than before so it doesnt stick out too much

i have a feeling the general graphics of will get more fleshed out before the games comes out so the squid may even fit even more than it does nowYeah I think it's cuz the art style of new leaf seemed more detailed to me (might have to do with the saturation) where as New Horizons seems simplified but in HD but the squid was more detailed than New Leaf. I don't think it's the worst thing ever but it just brought me out of the immersion. But I'm pretty sure I'll get used to it. My brain just likes what it's used to.
When I first played ACNL I really didn't like the rolling world effect but now I love it. So it's probably the same scenario where I'm just not accustomed to it.
Here it is, I dont mind it most bugs and fish are ugly xD
It was a little realistic but I didn?t find it too weird nor did I think it looked too different from the overall graphic quality. Of course, they?d probably refine things and make it more consistent as they develop it more. That being said, if it is going to be more realistic, I fear catching butterflies because of my butterfly phobia T_T
Also, I found it hilarious that it was mr Nogami who was holding a squid out of all things lol XD
