You do realize the mods view this thread often too, like sometimes more than one at a time. I bet they would at least make a post if the conversations got out of hand.

Yeah I agree somewhat. I refresh the page after like one minute and already 3 pages have gone by. o_o But I just press 'Ctrl' and 'F' and just enter the villagers I'm looking for to make sure if anyone has offered them on each page. ^^
my point: there's an irc on this forum which should be taken advantage of, a lot of forums don't even have chat rooms
and plus I just refreshed like twice and there's already 5 extra pages so again it would probably be increasingly difficult for people to be able to find a dream villager if people are having conversations and not sticking to the point of the entire thread

I don't mind suggestions like this; at least an alternative is suggested. Bittermeat just appeared rude in their presentation of a simple problem that could just be discussed as it is being now - basically from what I take it new members / old members are finding it hard to keep track of the actual giveaways within the boards because of all the chat so feel they are missing out. Perhaps this board could be split into twin boards; one for chat where individuals can chat about their villagers/villages and another for the actual giveaways. Maybe the first-come-first-serve could be applied to PMs instead of posts so the board themes are kept separate?

I just use the search feature, type in the villager I am looking for's name, and see if anyone has them ready to move out.

Some people forget to clean their PMs so most of the time they are full and you can't send them one.
I still think the IRC thing is better, but I can settle for whatever solution there is to the chatting thing on this board.

Agreed, I use the same method whenever I'm looking for villagers.
Also, I don't know about other people, but I like chatting on a forum more than irc. A lot of times I get scared off from them, in a way? Like the pace is fast and you just kind of have to jump in and hope for the best, instead of having something to start talking about. I don't know, I've had bad irc experiences in the past and I just don't like them uwu

That's where VM comes in handy, a simple act of actually discussing why you like villagers doesn't need to be kept private. It's okay if other profile visitors see it when visiting someone's profile.

This is just a thought, and I apologize if this is against the rules, but maybe we can just have a free invisionfree forum dedicated to JUST villager give aways?Free ones have a chat box function (real time) that functions like MSN and what not, and you type and chat the way you would else where. It can be personal for the group we have developed in this thread.
