Yeah I've been doing that today... got Carmen, then 20 resets with nothing, then Carmen again, then about 10 more resets of nothing. This has been my luck for the past few days of resetting, it sucks!
Thats if you are resetting for something. If you go on a character already made, when Isabelle "prepares the town" she saves, so you can reset anything in town at all. A new character doesn't save.
You can change your campers if you reset. You can also change where a villager is moving in if you reset. It's very handy.
You don't need to TT if you want to do these things though. Just do them before you start up your character for the day.

So if you know a villager is moving in because you recruited them, you should long on as a secondary character first the following day to see where they are setting up and if you don't like it you can reset and get them to move their house somewhere else?

Hmm... I can see myself spending a good amount of time doing this... The mayor has to be the one to recruit though, right? So once you get a camper you like, you would save and log in as the mayor? You're not TTing, just repeatedly resetting?
I'm not sure if the mayor has to, I always do it with my mayor though. Yeah, no TTing, you just have to make sure that after 6am, you don't log on any other character or you can't do it for that day.
When you find the camper you like, you need to plop that characters house down and save. You can delete them after you save.

I already played today, so I can?t make a video, I might make one tomorow.
Anyways here?s the steps.
also as I said earlier make sure you haven?t played the game yet that day.
1. Click on "Create new character"
2. finish the setup
3. when you get off the train go to the camp
3a. if there?s no camper or a camper you don?t like then press the home button on your 3DS, close Animal Crossing, and open it again and repeat step 1-3 again until you get to step 3b
3b. if there?s someone in the camp that you like, go to Isabelle and continue the setup, until you get a home and can save.
4. Save the game
5. Start the game with your new character, before you enter the town ask Isabelle for help, tell her that you want to Demolish your Home. after that she will remove the new character.
6. Enter the game with your Main character, go to the camp, and convince the camper to move in.
Hope it helps, as I said I will try to make a video tutorial tomorrow

Could you also make a video on how to kick out a villager using the 2 days forward 2 days back time travelling method?
