How do you camp reset?

On a brand new day (like, a day that you haven't gone on with an existing character) you make a new character. You check your campsite, and if there is a camper that you want to move to your town, with this new character you make a house and save. Then go on your mayor and convince that camper to move in. If there's no camper or if you don't like the camper, simply close the game, as nothing is saved for the day until you can save.

Curt asked to leave my town and I just couldn't say go ahead...I got attached to a villager I didn't like in the first place! I thought for sure if he would ever ask I would say yeah to ahead but I couldn't. I would miss him too much.

Did this happen to anyone else?
