I was just remembering last night about the work of 3 artists that I commonly saw in the 90s. Mostly on school supplies like folders and pencils and posters but the last one listed I remember also seeing his stuff framed in thick plastic frames. There were other art that was similar on t-shirts but I don't think they were by the same artists. Any who I was curious if anyone else is familiar with these artists' work? If you aren't you should check out their stuff. The links are to Pinterest.
Schim Schimmel
Lisa Frank
Christian Riese Lassen - he also did alot of sculptures too

I definitely remember these three artists! I only remembered Lisa Frank by name, but looking at the other's artwork I recognized them immediately. I had a lot of school supplies and calendars from these artists.

Holy moly, I'm in elementary school again.
I actually still have my Lisa Frank diary; I need to find a scanner and upload my entry about how annoying and useless long division is in the age of calculators. LOL
I recognize them all, but I think Lisa Frank made a smart move with branding. What a blast of nostalgia!

lol these totally look like the old folders and the such that my sisters had years ago. I would dig through old boxes in the basement and see all of their works and I immediately recognized the art style.

Aw, hell yeah. Lisa Frank supplies infatuated me. I'd stare at my notebooks for ages, and sometimes I'd try tracing the art on printer paper so I could cut them out, paste them on cardboard, and play with them like toys. lol

Aww, that is so cute! And also a reminder that childhood afforded us so much free time for arts and crafts. Good times.

I've always loved Lisa Frank, I saw Ariel Hart made a tarot deck based on her art that I'm obsessed with, I wish it had a full deck and not just the major arcana https://www.huffpost.com/entry/lisa-frank-tarot-deck_n_56e863d0e4b0860f99dab0b3

I recognize a lot of those dolphin pictures too but never had a name to put to them before, good stuff.
Somehow, I'm not surprised. You can tarot deck anything... ooh, maybe time for another Animal Crossing art project?

I used to see little kiosks at the mall that would sell stuff with the Schimmel and Lassen type animals plastered all over it

I LOVED Lisa Frank! I remember going to the Lisa Frank store in a mall as a kid. It was awesome. I had stickers, pencils, folders, a jacket, some stuffed animals.. Good times

Lisa Frank!!! I remember being so jealous of friends who had the Lisa Frank journals and stickers.

I really loved the tigers and puppies (and I guess the art style in general), and how colorful everything was!

Lisa Frank is the best. <3
I have to admit, I didn't know the name of the person with those beautiful underwater drawings, but I definitely remember them!
My mother must know Schim Schimmel, as it's completely her style, however I don't remember this. :(

I recognize all three of them! I remember as a kid I had multiple posters of Christian Riese Lassen's work. Of course as a kid I just liked them because they were colorful and had unicorns, I never actually knew the artist's name. thanks for posting this, I feel like seeing it unlocked childhood memories!

I didn't realize he did sculptures too until I decided to find out his name. I remember some of them but had no clue it was made by the same artist.
