My favorite villagers run all across the board. I love Beau, Fauna, Flora, and Marshal. On the other hand, I love Boone and Rizzo too.

And also to put it in perspective, if I had Julian instead of Rowan and someone was trading Rowan that wanted Julian in return, I would trade because I don't like Julian but LOVE Rowan. I don't base my favorites off of what others deem as popular. I like 'em because I like 'em. My opinion is the same as it is with Pokemon.

If these "unpopular" villagers are so great then why are people voiding them? It's seems silly to chastise people for not wanting a villager that you yourself don't want. This whole popular/unpopular debate is so silly imo, just let people like the villagers they like.

Yelling won't emphasize your statement in anyway, if I disagree then I'll disagree so there's no need for the 'yelling' to try and get your point across
I'm simply saying you contradicted yourself for your original post questioning why people dislike the popular villagers, and later making a post saying you would not want a 'horrifying' villager in your town, which doesn't make any sense. That's all.

Anyway, I agree with what Leebles says. Every single part.

The fact is we're not talking about people who like the popular ones like its behind their back, the truth is we are those people, we just have preferences and thats that, its just what appeals to us most. looking back on history, white ferrets (usually called ermines) were considered pets of royalty, obviously people love the white coat. And perhaps its the same preference with marshall.

I read a blog about a glitch in the game that made it easy for people to get mad bells and how it ruined the ACNL trading scene since people now ask for way too many bells for rare items etc because they have so many. Makes it really hard for people who don't cheat to buy anything from other players online. Source

Knowing that, that's kind of how auctions work. If the item's unpopular and no one wants it, you get a super good deal, if the item's popular then the final price will usually be higher than what it should be worth. Too bad you wanted the same thing every one else wanted.

It is a little sad :'c I want all the animals to feel loved too. Now everyone basically has the same villagers.. I feel guilty TT^TT I have popular villagers in my town: Julian, Marshal, Diana, Francine, Chrissy, Kid Cat. I don't know if Kid Cat is super popular though, but I've always loved him since the first AC as well as Roscoe ; v ; I don't mind having unpopular villagers. I usually get use to them. The only villagers I refuse to house is Sylvia (had her.. hated her) and Truffles XP

I thought Frank was really cool and he was in boxes. Luckily one person wanted him (and was looking for Frank), so they have him now. But people want Apollo > Frank. I mean, Apollo is cool too, but I like Frank's colors. *sigh*

If ugly villagers don't have anything more to offer in terms of dialogue, of course I'm going to pick the cuter ones. I'm missing out on exactly nothing and gaining aesthetic appeal. If your tastes are different, there's nothing wrong with that, but there's also nothing wrong with people whose tastes fit the majority. That's the great thing about subjectivity - no one is right or wrong. At the same time, though, I am really tired of bumping into Stitches when I go into dream towns. I recognize the little fart's house now.

I have to agree with you plus, I find Stitches' eyes quite scary at times.
You are right about the fact that if villagers have nothing more to offer apart from cuteness, your gonna like the 'cute' ones.

A couple of my 'dream villagers' are popular - Stitches, Marina, Freya. But others not so much- Simon, for example. I don't want them because they're popular, but moreso because I like their designs :3

Some of my Dream Villagers-Fang, Ankha and Drago are pretty popular, but a few others-Axel,Knox and Boone are somewhat unpopular. At first though I didn't like Axel, but I easily got to know him. Now we're like best buds. :3

I enjoy having a good mix of sizes and types in my town. Have Henry and Hamlet now . . . they're teeny. Have Boone and Phil . . . huge and tall. Have Erik and Annabelle, medium height. Have Static and Cally, slightly smaller than medium. Have Becky and Analise, tallish and they really get on each other's nerves.

I guess I just don't get the whole "popular" thing. They're all pretty fun. When Phil came to town, he really stirred things up.

The only villager I really don't like is Coco . . . zombie rabbit. She just creeps me out.
