Personally, I am head over heels! My favourite part has to be the new river and cliff editors, paths and stairs, we'll have so much more freedom in our towns (although I understand why some may not like it)!

What did you guys enjoy or dislike about what we just saw? :lemon:

Edit: Have some more thoughts; I noticed you can make custom paths with the path tool, and the museum looks beautiful! The Island Tours look really nice too!

My mind is blown honestly. I lost it at the ability to move cliffs and water. I can’t wait to get my hands on this! Everything is perfect and adorable as always but somehow it was more than I expected.

bRO I'M SO HAPPY I HAVEN'T BEEN THIS EXCITED IN FOREVER

EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING I'M IN AWE.... the museum was so beautiful I almost fell off my chair.... and so awesome that we can pick where villagers live and create WATERFALLS

Welp, I'm literally crying. I have never seen some so beautiful in my life.

STAIRS, BEING ABLE TO CREATE MY OWN LITTLE PONDS/WATER FALLS? THIS GAME LOOKS GORGEOUS AND THIS DIRECT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Sorry for my all caps lock but omg I’m excited for this game.

Editing the town is going to be so so so good. I literally loved everything they showed us. I'm so excited. I'm also happy that theres so many ways to get new residents, I'm hoping for more than 10 this time, it definitely looks like we will have more than enough room for it.

Im ssoooooo impressed!!!
honestly, i had moderate-high expectations, and what they delivered exceeded them!! I was not expecting the terrain editing omg but I'm so keen for waterfalls!

I find this direct very interesting. I can’t wait till the game comes out.

I’m glad that I can build regular facilities. Regular facilities have been a mainstay in Animal Crossing. But what’s cool about it is that you can build them anywhere.

Maybe when I work on map editing, I can build an island within a lake big enough for a home for one of the humans.

Wow, that was amazing. This is the information I wanted. It blew my mind.

Here's the information I gathered:

- You can choose from 1 of 4 random maps
- You choose where to place your tent and the other villagers' tents
- Nook's services is opened 24 hours a day
- Learn recipes to craft things
- Change the color of furniture
- Decorate furniture with your own designs
- The airport is where you visit or invite friends
- The airport also offers an in-game postal service
- Lots of new furniture
- The Nook phone has standard apps such as maps but "over time they will add more"
- Nook Miles can be used to pay off debt and in-game rewards
- Nook Miles rewards seem to include clothes, items, and add-ons for tools (couldn't read them fast enough)
- All bugs seem to have returned. Bees, scorpions, beetles. Medication used to heal bee stings as previously.
- WISP IS IN-GAME
- GULLIVER IS IN-GAME (he washes up on the shore as previously)
- Resetti is in charge of the "rescue services". If you get lost on your island he will transport you back to your tent. (lol)
- Can put items into storage right from your inventory instead of going to an actual wardrobe or something
- Remodeling is so much easier. You can still push/pull items but you don't have to. You can enter into a build mode where you can grab and drop items into place.
- You can travel to mystery islands via the Dodo air services to collect bugs, flowers, fruit, and even other villagers. (I love this so much.)
- You can jump over small rivers
- Nook Link is being developed for smart phones to scan custom designs that were created in Happy Home and New Leaf to download them into New Horizons.
- Nook Link is planned to launch in March 2020
- Villagers are way more interactive. They drink, eat ice cream, do cardio
- You pick the spot for villagers to move their houses
- All the staple shops are returning to sell items you can't craft yourself
- The museum is GORGEOUS
- The Noon Services expands over time from a tent to a building
- You can remodel the outside of your house
- Looks like you can choose where to move a shop before they move in
- You can change town tune and town flag
- A character Daisy Mae seems to have replaced Joan, the previous turnip lady
- All holidays are back with Jingle, Zipper T, etc, available through "updates" (maybe to discourage hacking?)
- Ladders are used to climb up mountains when you don't have a ramp
- Bridges, slopes, stairs
- Entering "permit mode" can be used to pave your own paths. They can be placed right up to houses
- YOU CAN DESTROY CLIFFS
- YOU CAN DIG CREATING MORE LAND
- YOU CAN DIG CREATING WATERFALLS
- Balloons and slingshots have returned
- Items can be placed on the rocks that are on the shore
- Amiibo cards and figures are supported. You can use the cards to get them in your town. (I'M BUYING MINE NOW)
- KK isn't supported yet but will be in the future
- Axes and shovels are forbidden with visits from friends unless they're listed as best friends
- Reiterated that they're working on a way to restore saves in the case of console loss or damage (again, not sure how users can prove this)
- Something about special items coming through Pocket Camp and New Horizons, more information coming later
- Follow their Twitter

These are small details but..

Near the beginning it said in the fall we can collect mushrooms and SEEDS. I wonder what the seeds will be for. I think I saw a mushroom tree too, so maybe we can plant those?

Also when they shook a tree in the winter a little Christmas bulb fell out!

me right now:

TERRAFORMING???? Omg the island looks so good with all the paths, houses and such, it looks like an actual city on an island!!! This will be the most versatile Animal Crossing game ever, I hate that I'm not that creative!!!

Oh, another thing I really liked is how they changed 'bee' to 'wasp', since 1) theres already honeybees and 2) the bees behaved more like wasps anyway and this will maybe help kids with a fear of stinging bugs to not be afraid of bees :')

I'm...so fricking happy! Thank you Nintendo so much you have made my day! Stairs! Terraforming! CJ! DAISY MAE!!! FLICK!!! ISABELLE!!! ALL OF IT!!! I AM SO FRICKING HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!

If I wasn't hyped before I sure am now!

Remodeling the island, paths, chosing where your villagers live! Those are the features that caught my eye the most.
I'm also happy there will be custom patterns as I was worried because the Switch doesn't have a camera, we wouldn't get them.

Also, Daisy Mae is the cutest NPC.

OMG I AM SO EXCITED. You can change rivers and cliffs omg. You can move your house. Kinda weird the updates will add the event characters, but I won't time travel anyway so I am fine. I am just so excited.

The only thing that makes me sad? I HAVE TO WAIT TILL SEPTEMBER!!! D'x
