Thoughts/Comments on the Direct?

They game continues to look amazing. They're offering far more than ever thought possible in an Animal Crossing game for this one. It definitely make me wonder what they can do in future installments, but I'm going to enjoy the heck out of this game. It's gonna steal A LOT of my hours.

Everything looked so gorgeous. All the new furniture looked amazing, terraforming is a game changer and now it seems we can relocate buildings which is a feature I reallyyyyy wanted. There was so much information that I’m still processing some of it.

Oh my gosh! I’m so extremely excited! I’ll comment more when I get home! But seriously, I was a little worried about the whole “deserted island” concept at first. But now that I know you can grow your island to more of an actually society, I’m so excited!

I thought I was on the hype train before. Turns out I was at best on the hype wagon compared to how I feel now. That museum is stunning and compels me to fill it as soon as possible. Terra forming and picking (and moving!) houses is just ah! Plus everything just looks so pretty. Animal clothing, which is old new but still, continues to make me so happy. They feel more integrated.

Something I noticed at 5:41 on the Direct: we get a TON more pattern spots compared to New Leaf. I can see at least 30 slots, but there's also a scroll bar so there's obviously more than that. This is super exciting!

Edit: Looks like stationary for sending letters can be time limited, per 6:53. There's some spring and Easter stuff that looks like it phases out in May. It makes sense, but is interesting.

Just when I thought deciding on my Island name was going to be the biggest decision I would have to make, along comes the infinite possibilities of terraforming!

The extra wait was worth it. I was watching the Direct with my bf and I was just getting very teary eyed at some of the things they showed us. My biggest wish for the series was to make the animals more interesting because I felt like they lost a lot of their charm in NL, and they nailed it. Seeing Bunnie sitting down and eating a choc-ice made me so happy. Same with the big uchi bear (her name escapes me!) doing her morning stretches by the sea shore + Violet dancing (when the villager uses the ladder to get to her).

This game is so cute, I hope the next 27 days whizz by.

the bear's name is Charlise, and i totally agree !!! the animals look like theyve been improved drastically, and theyll actually feel like villagers you can get close to (unlike the new leaf lifeless dolls lol)

We're less than 1 month away at this point. It's not so bad. It'll be here before we know it.

You can always pass the time like the rest of us by theorizing and thinking about your island name.

Also, did anyone notice the fortune cookie stand?

I wonder if its just a static crossover item from Pocket Camp or if we will be able to buy fortune cookies? I hope its the latter, and NO, that does not automatically mean microtransactions. I believe if there were microtransactions, they would have mentioned it. Hopefully if we can buy special fortune cookies, it would be an option with Nook Miles.

I know all the items around are PC related but I really hope this is the way you get PC exclusive items... I love the items from that game too much for them to be lost in an app forever.

Remember when you got the big items in New Leaf if you played Happy Home Designer? I bet it will just be like that and the items are static.

I kinda hope we can get pocket camp items using Nook Miles or something. I just love the Wonderland Inspired sets from it so much. And they have had multiple including original Wonderland and Queen of Hearts themed and everything. But, I don't think they are going to do it. So I will have to find other furniture to make a Mad Hatter tea party scene surriounded by cherry blossoms in the spring.
