To me, this seems like a very good title and a good deal for those who don't have all or any of the games. It's nice, at least for me, that Super Mario 64 finally gets a modern "tv version" without the need to own an N64 (It might have been available on virtual console, but it is nice to be able to own a semi-legit physical copy that I can actually play and show off on a tv). It's also three games-in-one package, and I do love when a game comes bundled like that. It's also interesting to note that this game is only available for a limited time, which I never heard of before for video games, so it seems like a new concept.

I pre-ordered. I lost my copies of 64 & Sunshine so it'd be nice to replay them on my Switch. Never played the other one before so I think three games for $60 is a pretty decent deal. I know emulators exist but I'd rather have the ability to play them wherever I want.

I am pretty surprised at the amount of people complaining about the ports since this is what people have been asking for. Remasters are nice and all, but they're not necessary. The games are somewhat remastered anyways from what I've seen by having higher quality resolutions and textures. I don't want to call it a bargain, but that price is still better than the cost of getting all 3 games separately in today's market and conveniently on one system makes it more appealing.

I want to get it because I have never played any of those 3D Mario games before. They kinda did Super Mario Galaxy 2 dirty, but I still have a copy of the game thankfully so it's all good for me. I dislike how it's only available for a limited time and then it's gone for good. Those scalpers always ruin things.

I kind of wish it was Super Mario Galaxy 2 (SMG 2) and not the first one, since I didn't 100% complete the second one, only the first. However, I do get why Nintendo would opt for the original SMG.

It's not new from a physical game perspective. There are companies like Limited Run Games that do limited print runs of games that wouldn't normally get physical copies. Major video game companies also do sometimes do small and/or 1 single print run of physical games. This is just mostly new from a Nintendo perspective. I don't think Nintendo has ever done this before.

Honestly, I still don't understand why they're doing it. Mario games sell for years after they originally are released.

Agreed. Also, there's one perspective that they're improved - I personally don't like mandatory motion controls in most games. The fact that I can play Super Mario Galaxy without Wii remote motion controls is nice.

I'm quite looking forward to this release. Having Mario 64 and Sunshine on the go with the switch is incredible. Plus I've never gotten to experience Super Mario Galaxy before, so I'm definitely looking forward to my first play through of that one.

I preordered it and I’m very excited. Never had an N64, and my siblings never let me play Sunshine and Galaxy on our GameCube and Wii (even though I got Galaxy for my birthday as a kid, it somehow became theirs). So this will be a great way for me to play. I will gladly pay that full Nintendo price tag. I get some people wanted remakes, but come on, let’s just be happy that Nintendo was at least smart enough to bring them over (this also might mean a collection next year for Zelda’s 35th Anniversary, and I’m excited).

I 👏 am 👏 so 👏 excited! I've never been a fan of ports to be honest, but perhaps that's because they've been of games that don't interest me too much. But this one is literally just what I wanted! I freakin' love SMG, it's one of my all time favourite games and I can't wait to replay it. I've never had the opportunity to play SM64 or Sunshine, but I've been wanting to play them since forever. My only qualm with it is that I wish they were fully remastered, but they seem to look and run a lot cleaner on the Switch so I'm satisfied with that. I've already preordered my copy :)

i'm getting it, only for sunshine. i might play the others a little bit but i played galaxy on the wii and am not too interested in 64 so idk. but i Loved sunshine so much as a kid and always wanted a remake so i could play it again and i'm so excited for it. i would have liked if it was less expensive, like if you could only buy the one game you want but i understand why they do it this way. switch games are just a little expensive :I

i think they were supposed to fix up the graphics just a little for the switch version but if it's uglier than i remember i will be big sad.

I never played Sunshine or Galaxy, so grabbing the bundle is a good deal for me. Breaking it down, $20 a game isn't a bad price. I've spent more than that on indies that weren't terribly good.

It's cool. Not entirely sure I'd say it was necessary...(these games could have just been piece-mealed out on the eshop for $15 or $20 each.) That said...yeah, I pre-ordered a copy. I have never been a huge Mario fan. Played all these games originally...but, never got as deep into them as I could have. So...having a new way to play them is going to force me to show them some new love.

I'm excited for it! I haven't really played Super Mario 64 since the DS version, and I haven't played Sunshine since I played it on the GameCube, so it'll be nice to play those again. I do still have a copy of Galaxy and a Wii, but I haven't taken out my Wii in a long time, so having it on the Switch will be much more convenient. The fact that it's only available for a limited time is interesting, but my guess is that maybe the games will be available in some other way starting in March. We'll just have to wait and see what happens then though.

I do wish that the version of 64 they used was the DS version, though...I loved some of those mini-games back when I would play my DS in High School. Honestly, I liked some of those mini-games more than the main game...

The only disappointment is how much they’re being re-mastered. I was hoping Super Mario 64 would be less blocky, but nope. All they’re doing is changing the sharpness.

To be fair...people would not be happy if they put out a Mario 64 that was entirely remastered. The polygonal vibe is what people want in that game. Maybe they could have put an option in the game to switch back and forth...but to put out an entirely overhauled game with no choice? That wouldn't have gone over well at all...

I'm with you there, but more so because of all the playable characters that were introduced.
Luigi, Wario, and Yoshi
I'm sure the 64 version is still plenty compact, but having an extra layer of story and difficulty added in would have been really nice considering this will be my first time I am able to play it on the big screen (my tv I mean XD).

Seeing Galaxy (a game I was disappointed with) paired up with Sunshine made me embrace Galaxy more. While I’m glad to see 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy on the Switch, here’s what Nintendo did wrong:

- No Super Mario Galaxy 2
- Limited time release. They haven’t even explained why they’re doing this.
- You’ll have to use joy-cons on the Switch Lite to play Galaxy. At least you can play Sunshine and Mario 64 while in the hotel or in the car.

And this is during a time when other Switch games are having major disappointments.

can't believe I'm gonna drop 80$ to play Sunshine on Switch but I am

I'll probably end up getting a copy! I really enjoyed Galaxy and it's been long enough since I've played it that I think I'd like to go through it again. I played Sunshine a little bit when I was a kid but never finished it so that'll be fun too!
