To scan or not to scan, that is the question

I haven’t decided on such a number yet. Problem is every new one I meet I end up liking.

I only scanned in my top two (Kiki and Ribbot) and I'm letting the game surprise me with who I get otherwise. I've gotten villagers I've never had before that have grown on me (Puck, Bea, Tia, Julian, Velma, Greta, etc.) and Bianca in particular was a random move in and she may be my official fourth favorite villager.

Might scan in my third fave (Diana) at some point but I'm good otherwisel

I'm currently using all my amiibos to get my top 10. Ankha has moved in today , and now I'm working on Lolly. I'd say if you have the amiibos, go for it.

I've scanned one so far (Chief) and he was my 8th villager. I'm going to scan one more in (Whitney) and then let my 10th be a random villager or somebody I invited from an island. I'm going to cycle villagers out for a while (minus Chief, Whitney, and Audie) and see who I come across and then eventually I'll invite more of my dreamies in via the amiibo option. Likely Skye and Lobo. You can tell I love the wolves haha

For me, having some of my favorites really makes my island feel homey. But I also wanted to make sure that I gave myself the chance to meet new favorites through New Horizons. So I'm limiting myself to having 5 villagers I developed a relationship with in New Leaf and keeping 5 spots for new villagers/villagers I haven't had before.

Yeah I chose five as well... (Camofrog, Rocco, Savannah, Rod, Ankha) at least as the ultimate goal. I’m only scanning two for now (Camofrog, Savannah) so I can get to possibly like others. When I get their pic, unless I get really attached, I’ll let them go.

Assuming they give you their pic like the last three games.
