To those of you who got the paid DLC... Did you buy it or did you get it via Nintendo Switch Online?

I got it through the expansion pack as well. I have two accounts and I share the family account with three other people so it works out pretty inexpensive for me.

I bought it standalone. I have absolutely no interest in playing N64 games I've played a zillion times already only with added controller latency. If I wanted to, I could easily get them elsewhere if you know what I mean. 24 bucks is chump change. I'd rather pay it now and forget about it rather than keep paying 50 bucks a year.

I bought the DLC. I played those games way back in the day on my N64 and bought my favourites again on the Wii Virtual Console so I can already play them whenever I want to.

I was surprised at how small the download was, unless there's more to download on launch day.

I hope they add more features to the Expansion Pack. It least with PS+ and Xbox Live Gold, voice chat is supported without needing to use a smartphone app. There's also party chat too and three free games a month.

I bought mine through the Nintendo eShop as I have no use for the new Expansion Pack deal as I'm the only one in my house who plays ACNH and owns a Switch Lite.

I'm thinking the new furniture, villagers, and other stuff will be part of the 2.0 update itself.

I bought the DLC and used the few coins I had to pay it for 22. I don’t want to have to buy the DLC again if I don’t choose to renew my subscription right away. I like the n64 games but still have the ones I like. Was able to download the DLC on my second and first switches plus I don’t play with anyone one else so no need for the family plan.

I just got it with the Expansion Pack. I already wanted it for the N64 and Sega games & I'm able to be in a family group where everyone's paying their share so it's a cheaper option for me honestly.

I just bought the DLC. I’m not particularly interested in any of the N64 games available; the only one I would like to play is Ocarina of Time but I already have that on GameCube and 3DS, so I would rather just play one of those than pay an extra $30 for it online

i already have a nintendo switch online membership, and the expansion pack honestly doesn’t interest me much, so i bought the DLC on its own. :)

I bought it standalone because I prefer paying for DLC only once. Besides, there are currently many issues with the N64 emulation that's why I avoid it.

Standalone. I don't like the idea of not truly owning it and I have 0 interest in the other stuff on offer for for online route.

Standalone. I don't think it's worth it to pay for really bad N64 emulation (I've seen how it runs and it gave me flashbacks of how Project64 ran games back in the mid 2000s, when it was still "new"), and I already have other means to play Mega Drive games (and I honestly don't even want to play many MD games anymore, as I already played everything I wanted from it).

I just hope Nintendo can fix the emulation on the N64 because if charging ridiculous prices for a very limited selection of games wasn't enough, delivering such amateurish-level product is totally unacceptable and you guys should be better compensated for the money you're spending.

I already have the Nintendo Online sub, so I bought it as a standalone via the e-shop. I don't use the Expansion Pack features (or even the un-expansion pack features) enough to buy the pack. No interest in retro games, period, especially Nintendo retro games.

I did the combination stupidest/smartest option: get the expansion pack, but then buy it standalone.

Mainly because I’m not sure if I’m going to get the Expansion Pack again next year? Got it at a discounted price thanks to a combination of having 5 months left of my current subscription and My Nintendo points, but…yeah, the thing still needs to iron out a lot of it’s bugs and add some more benefits to it before it’s worth £34.99, imo.

But I think that buying it standalone’s a better option, even if you’ve got the expansion pack. Otherwise you run the risk of losing the thing once they shut NSO down, as you’re basically just renting it with the expansion pack… but ouch, about £47 in total 😆

I bought my standalone. I will get the expansion subscription eventually, but a) I wanted to own my DLC copy in case I ended my sub, and b) I heard that the expansion has some quality issues that I hope will be worked out. My hope is that when they add Majora’s Mask and the rumored Goldeneye to the service, everything else will be fixed. N64/Sega were my jam back in the day, so this is something I would be interested in (if only they had ported better here 😕 ).

I already have NSO so i wanted to buy the DLC as i want to continue having the game when the membership expires as i brought a year upfront but dont see the need to renew when it expires as i dont get much use out of it considering it costs money
