Too bonded to NSider

I think this board has just one problem: It's too much like NSider. I mean, sages, technical support arrangment and ideas like it and there always seems to be some discussion about it.

There is also that special trivia and no editing or deleting...

At least allow editing and deleting, why not allow it?

Don't suggest editing and deleting. It gets the staff angry. Besides, it's a nice reward for posting, and not allowing it from the start prevents people from misusing it.....by the time they reach the rank level to use them, they'll be so attached to the forum they won't misuse it.

No, it does not.

We have editing at around 41 posts, so we're not like NSider (who have it at 4000something. )

But yeah, we're thinking of reworking the whole rank system, including Sages, to make it more ACish.

anyways things like that does get you angry (you as staff in general) I almost got banned for my post quoting AOTS....

And you weren't close to getting banned; and I'm okay with people not liking TBT, but insulting staff outright is punishable.

I never insulted a staff member.
1. I never said who and everyone took it personal
2. I never said they were cocky all the time
3. Who says its an insult, it only is if some one takes it like it is, I was just saying IMO that to ME some of the staff acted like this SOME of the time.
4. I was not even talking about this and ask storm if I was almost banned :|

Has it been misused severly in the past? If not, then I do not see why not offer it from the start. Nearly all forums I know of offer editing immediately. At HTS they were misused, hence the high post count at NSider.

That's because of experience, not copying another forum.

Which Trivia are you talking about?

If you're talking about "Mino's Trivia", then I'm not sure. If you're talking about "TBT Trivia", then that's something different. I made that to give others something to do, as well as earn a cool rank, with cool powers and so forth. This also gets a use out of our new chatroom It's also fun. How do I know? Well, I run it, of course.

About the rank thing:

Yes, I agree with you, we need to move closer to AC, like calling Mods "Police Officers" and Admins "City Council" or "Mayor" or something like that.

Blathers? Hm...good idea. That would be good for the Sages. I like that, I really do.

Changing the names of mods and sages and admins is a good idea but... It might make new peaple get mixed up. And it might get confuzzing.

Deleting was once misused for higher post count, since deleting posts in Invisionfree does NOT subtract from your overall post count.

you could change mean peoples rank to " snobby neighbor" or" Mint"
or if the person behaves badly and needs a rank like lowlier than goomba,
you could make the LtG rank "jane"... i think that that is a pretty good idea.
