Top Gift Givers Leaderboards

During this season of giving, TBT's most generous members will be officially recognized as the embodiment of a generous Christmastime character. From December 12th until Christmas night, a daily leaderboard of our top gift givers will be posted shortly after 7:00 PM EST with the day's top givers.

Whoever places first on the leaderboard will be recognized as that day's famous gift giving Christmastime character. The honorary title and special username color will be bestowed upon the top gift giver from the time it is awarded until early January. Our first leaderboard on the 12th will combine the gifts given on the first three days of the event.

December 14th: Mary Hatch Bailey
December 15th: One Wise Man
December 16th: Mr. Duncan
December 17th: Uncle Drosselmeyer
December 18th: La Befana
December 19th: The Little Drummer Boy
December 20th: Olaf the Warm Hug Giver
December 21st: The Nisse
December 22nd: Julbock the Yule Goat
December 23rd: Cindy Lou Who
December 24th: Scrooge Redeemed
December 25th: Father Christmas

You can only win once, so it will go to the next highest ranked user if the top giver won a previous day's leaderboard. This means if you want a certain character or color, you'll have to strategize which day to give your gifts away! Points on the leaderboards are based on the snowflake value of the sent gifts, which is 22 Snowflakes per gift. If there's a tie, we'll look at the amount of Christmas Lights the tied users gave in the last 24 hours. If there are additional ties, we'll base it on the amount of gift's given during the entire event and then the amount of Christmas Lights given all month.

I won a title two years ago. Felt so lucky (still have the message from Jeremy ) as I had no clue what I was doing just happy to send gifts The title was “wise man”(I’m very wise ) and I got a purple username

Top Gift Givers Leaderboard: December 12th

The first round has ended with a five-way tie! KittenNoir, kiwikenobi, Liz!, Moonlight., and Venn all earned 110 points. However, for the first time, our four levels of tiebreaker rules have failed to pick a single winner. This is the very first leaderboard day of 2022, so we could only look at the Christmas Lights tiebreaker and two users have coincidentally sent the same amount of lights during the same time period. Since there's nothing else we can do to break the tie, we'll have to declare both @kiwikenobi and @KittenNoir as our Knecht Ruprechts! Hopefully our dueling Knecht Ruprechts can come to a consensus about what to give the children this year: apples, nuts, and gingerbread... or a dirty bag of ashes.

Ohhhh, I didn't understand this event at all, I thought it was about actual charitable giving of real money because I didn't look at it closely. ^o^;>

But now I know what Knecht Ruprecht is when I never heard of it before. And I'm honored to have won a title and to share it with @KittenNoir ! ^_^

And I just noticed that, by sheer coincidence, my new title color makes my username match my avatar very nicely!

Top Gift Givers Leaderboard: December 13th

Our second leaderboard was convincingly won by @tessa grace who shall now be known as Giljagaur the Yule Lad! According to Icelandic folklore, Giljagaur emerges from gullies to steal milk from cows. After exiting the barn, will you leave gifts for the children or a rotten potato instead? Our gift givers have so many important decisions to make so far!
