For anyone else with this issue, I eventually got 8 bells despite the message, there was just a decent delay. Not sure why!

So, reading through the posts here, the range for the current phase is ~1-10 bells, with the median of 5-8 bells, give or take.

I assume it's either 24 hours or that Justin is going to re-post it each day, not sure which one though. I tried shaking it again just a couple minutes ago and didn't get anything.
