Hey all. I told myself I wouldn't bother with this Blog Tree feature, but looks like I caved. The main purpose of this "Minecraft Adventure" is to showcase Minecraft to those of you who have not played it. At the same time, I want to allow you all to decide the direction I take in the Minecraft world. I will read the comments and take the best ideas and put them into action. Hopefully we can introduce some more people to this simple, yet awesome game.
I'll be playing an entirely new world and playing on normal difficulty. To start us off, here's the view:
Looking in the four cardinal directions, you can see that this part of the world is pretty flat and wet. Obviously I'll need to cut down at least one tree and start a dwelling, however impermanent. I see a cave system to the northeast, which could prove to go deep underground or at least provide a shelter for the first night. Alternately, I could travel south or west into the forest and create a wooden house there. The choice is yours, really!
Also, it would be cool if any Minecraft veterans out there reading this came up with some sort of list of goals I could work towards in order to showcase Minecraft's diversity and potential.
Anyways, here's to hoping this doesn't flop,
Trevor
