Underrated Villagers?

List any villager you think is underrated and what you like about them?

I feel like Genji can sometimes be overlooked. He’s by far one of my favorites, his attention to physical fitness and keeping me pumped throughout the day. Plus his cute face! He’s really sweet always giving me medicine when I get stung another one is Tabby, I actually find her adorable. She’s the sweetest and so peppy. I’m rooting for her to be famous

I have to agree with you for Genji and Tabby. Tabby is a favorite of mine, she gets overlooked just because of her design but I like her rough and tough appearance, it makes her peppy personality all the more endearing!

Cube is another who gets overlooked. I've loved him since the Gamecube game. his unique eyes and cute design and then also his name being Cube and his Gamecube logo shirt being paired together really endeared him to me!

honestly I could name so many more.. there are a lot of villagers so it's understandable that many get overlooked. i always love seeing all the forgotten friends that get brought up in threads like this

I always loved the vast number of villagers these games held in them because it allows for such a variety that you encounter in other people's islands.

Some villagers do tend to be more popular and some it feels like you are the only person in the world who enjoys a certain villager. I often find myself saying that each villager is somebody's favorite somewhere.

Some of the less popular ones that I just love are Boone (jock gorilla), chester (lazy cub), and Robin (snooty bird)

No surprise coming from me an account that loves black cats but I love Kiki I only discovered her when I started playing New Horizons. I was interested to see what kind of cats the game had so I looked it up and saw the usual popular/favourites. And then I saw her and knew I had to find her from my island She is just such a sweet islander and I recommend her if you want a happy positive energy on your island.

I feel like some of the big bears are underrated. Despite their appearances, I find Klaus and Beardo to both be really loveable. Something about their looks paired with their smug personality is really endearing. In terms of female bears, I adore Tutu! Never had her myself, but she was in my brother's New Leaf town. I think her design is pretty cute, so I find it weird that she's not talked about more.

I feel like not enough people know how awesome Katt is. I just love her vibe so much. She’s spunky and dresses and acts like a tomboy, and the sisterly personality really fits her. She’s has such a goofy face that all the expressions you see on her (napping, excitement, etc) look so funny and expressive.

i personally loved her when i played the older games (buyed every game im outdated rn bc of hhd and amiibo festival)
mitzi was the best and she was soo frickin cute and have a personality of her own! i have her amiibo twice bc i love her dearly
and shes a normal but she has more to her

Alfonso. He's my best boy and I feel like no one cares about him He's such a cutie, always talking about how hungry he is. I also love his catchphrase.

there’s several villagers that i think are underrated (midge, katt and chabwick, to name a few), but the first one that comes to mind is margie. i’m definitely biased since she’s one of my absolute favourites, but i just… can’t believe that she isn’t more popular. her design is gorgeous, her house is gorgeous and she’s super sweet. plus, she was in the animal crossing movie, and the other villagers that were in it (ex. whitney and apollo) are quite popular. makes no sense to me, but she’s genuinely so lovely and deserves way more love. i highly recommend her.

I rarely see him mentioned and I assume he's overshadowed by the two other cranky eagles Apollo & Avery (both of them are two great villager designs as well), but I appreciate him a lot. He's never going to leave my island!

OMGosh, I agree with all the ones that have already been stated. I've had most of them and they are all great. Pate hasn't been on any of my islands yet but I want to adopt her now. I need to get my mitts on some more of those cheap $1 amiibo coins and get a bunch of villagers I haven't met yet.

Filbert!!! That sweet little blue squirrel stole my heart a bazillion years ago and then when new leaf came out my sweet boy gave me the moon. Enough said. He is by far my favorite villager of all time and always will be and I feel like he will always and forever be overlooked but that’s OK because I love him the most Hah Hah Hah!!!!

Plucky is an excellent Uchi. Part of the problem is being an Uchi. Part of the problem is being a chicken, one of the game’s rather dismissed species. Plucky has an island-friendly interior, is on my island, and deserves more recognition to also possibly receive more appreciation.
