For my island I decorated a little "Trunk Or Treat" area. For anyone who doesn't know trunk or treat is an alternative trick or treating where kids will go from car to car to collect candy instead of needing to go house to house (it's usually for quite small children).
I made 4 differently decorated cars/stations and a little photo op area with Jack at the end

I was able to get all the decorations in two proof photos since it's all in a small area.
I keep updating my dream address because I keep thinking of new decorating ideas to add.

I hope my Oriental horror theme comes across, but I will provide flavor text anyway:
It all starts as you enter the island through a bamboo forest. Blocking your path is a suspicious ebony urn that shakes and echoes with desperate scraping sounds. Is a demon trapped within?
Approaching the urn, your vision goes dark and you see the image of a demon lording over haniwa statues with the spirits of small children at the quarry-- their souls enslaved for misbehaving until they met an early demise.
It is too late to save them, and you watch in horror as the demon pockets the haniwa children and adds them to his cauldron to create new cursed tags. The audience of soul dolls squirm in protest, but their voices have long since been silenced...

I had a lot of fun doing this one! I had abandoned a creepy theme I was doing for one of my stories and this task kicked me in gear to work on it again. The terraforming of the pond area took so much time. The story idea is that there's a 'haunted' old abandoned library deep in the woods. Those that enter become trapped in a world of their desire, but evil spirits are at play slowly siphoning their life-force as they blissfully live in their fantasy life. Over the years and forgotten, the spirits slowly starve bidding their time. As a dare, a group of friends decide to take go a night in the haunted library, but little do they know they're on the menu.
I managed to get my old Switch online. It's been getting bad. So I uploaded a DA. The island is still a WIP. So if you want to check out the haunted area, I crudely drew a line to get there easily.

Yeah, I had to update mine as well. Cause I realized I needed to leave a pole vault and a ladder for people to use at the front ha ha!!!

Had a great time switching up and re-decorating some spots around the town. This is such a cute idea for an event, love love seeing everyone's areas and scenes!

There’s an area on my island that I decorate according to the season or event. Halloween is the one I especially like.
Overall my island isn’t very finished but I’m quite proud of how the area between Resident Services and the Airport turned out.

decided to go for a 'horror' theme - or at least tried to get as close as I could get in animal crossing 
and realised too far into this that I should not have committed to so many wheat fields

accidentally fell asleep on the bus and woke up at the end of the line! having to wait till morning for the next bus I decided to explore the area and was very surprised to find I was right outside a fair - the place was overgrown and appeared abandoned but the rides continued on with no passengers!
after a walk through the fair I stumbled across a farm not too far away, similarly overgrown except for some pumpkin patches that still appeared to be tended to. I had seen no other person on my trip so far but couldn't shake the feeling that I was been watched.
following the path around the back of the farm I eventually found an old, run down cabin by the lake, seeing some lights on and exhausted from my travels I opted to check if anyone was home - surely a kind soul would look out for a lost traveller?

The VODs should be up for a bit! Unfortunately the first 3 islands (including yoursSeems I missed the stream, hope I can watch it later offline
) were super laggy, and I think the stream cut out a minute or two early when I went to restart.- First 3 islands are in this video (laggy, and also cut off ;___; )
