Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I find it very tedious. They either want to chat or I never get the highest possible rate despite using guide. Luck not on my side.
I tried this the other day and it was well worth it, I think! I got anywhere between 65k-75k for each shark I had, and over 50k for each beetle. By the time I had nothing left, I had enough bells to pay off my 598k home loan AND fully fund Katrina's shop, and I still had like 100k left over!
The only downside is, it takes what feels like 10 years for the villager to suggest playing the game. After going through the same requests to move into the village, random thoughts about camping, and requests to play OTHER games, it gets pretty tedious to sell a full inventory of stuff. Sometimes it would take up to 15 minutes for them to play it.
Wow! This is amazing! I have a villager in my campsite, but he's a jock villager, so I'll have to wait for now.
Still, thank you for this! I'll be sure to use it in the future!
Aandd I just rated this thread 5 stars. c: More people should see this!
A few days after I saw this post, I got a lazy in my camp. I tried it out, and it worked greatly! You can make a lot more money, but there were some cons too. It was really time-consuming because the villager kept offering to play other games or saying other things. This is a fun thing to do if you're patient or if you have a lot of time to waste. I can't imagine how long it would take to sell every bug/fish you stored in the inventory from the island.
I used to do this a lot when I got lazy campers but sometimes it's just really annoying to get them to even play games with you T.T But yeah, made lots of dough.
I used this with Anchovy the other day, and it worked like a charm! It's not nearly as fast because they don't suggest the game all the time, but it was definitely worth it.
It's best if you pay attention to the guide though. I messed up and he bought my horned atlas for only 835 Bells. :c Make sure you're doing things right!
