Villager move-in glitch?

So I had a free plot in my town, and I went to someone else's town and asked Maple to move into my town, and she said yes.
I went back to my town and her plot was marked as sold.
But upon clicking it, instead of saying "This spot reserved for Maple's new home.", it says "This spot reserved for 's new home." Like, there's no name.
So I've tried TT'ing 5 days forward to see if that will spur her move-in, and nothing. It's still just the same house plot that says "sold." I tried going backwards. Didn't fix it either..

I'm upset because now since now the game thinks someone is permanently moving in, I won't be able to move any villagers out or have any new ones.
Has this happened to anyone else? is there a fix?

This has happened to many people, and I don't think they found the way to fix it yet. Kinda disappointing that this game is full of glitches. Beside of this there're also items merging and duplicating glitches.

ahh okay, well I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was considering resetting my town but since its happening to other people I'll wait it out and see if they issue an update to fix it
