Villager Names & Pets

So I don't know 90% of the villager names still and recently saw a villager named Cookie.

I have a pet rat named Cookie.

Which got me thinking, how many other rats have I had that share names with AC villagers?

Well here they all are:
-Cookie
-Rory
-Violet

And a couple of close ones~
-Rosie (her name is Rose, although I call her Rosie or Rosie Posie almost 100% of the time)
-Rizzo (her name was Rizzy)

Do you have any pets with the same names as villagers?
Do you want these villagers for nostalgic reasons because you love your pets? *o*
For me, this one is a bit of a catch 22, because it might make me hella sad to see them after they pass.

I'm inspired by a few names for future rats now too haha, I think Biskit would make a cute rat name, along with Stitches and well a bunch of others!

I live in a place where a lot of people have French heritage, so everyone and their mom had a dog named Beau.

My sister in law has a dog named Bella. My coworker has a service dog named Benjamin. I have a friend named Bonnie with a cat named Clyde, lol. My boss has a cat named Kiki and dog named Portia. Growing up, we had a basset hound named Lucky. My best friend growing up had two snakes: one named Butch, one named Monty. And last but not least, I've got a doggo named Rosie!

As far as I know, none of these names were inspired by Animal Crossing. Although now I want to see if I can get my husband to let us name our next pet Jambette.

(JK, If I named anything after a villager, it would be my bae Fauna).

I have a cat named Clara. Though she only appeared in Animal Forest E+, there is a villager named Clara, pictured below.

That’s such a cool coincidence! I’ve never had a pet that shares a name with a villager, but I know if I did that I’d had to have them in my town <3

Altough I have quite a lot of pets none of them have the same name as AC villagers! I think.
My two dogs are named Radar and Elis, and my two cats are named Zed and Gypsy.
My dad also has two cats, Chlo? and Ohana!
So yeah... weirdly enough they share no names!
But once I'll get my own pets I'll probably name them after Animal Crossing villagers hehe.

I’ve had fish named Toby, Lucy and Goldie in the past, and a dog named Lily currently ^u^

I have 6 goldfish which one of them was named lucky. another one was goldie.
(never realised that lucky was a dog name in animal crossing at that time)

I have a rat named Penelope and a rat named Dottie. I didn’t name either of them, but Dotty is one of my favorite villagers, so it works out.
