That was exactly the problem. It had turned into a general discussion thread.

I'm not certain I would ever use it, but I think this is a pretty good suggestion. In the past I have been in ~15 person chats that had to be done off tbt and I can only assume it is more beneficial for the life of the site to be able to host those kinds of chats here, instead of having people navigate elsewhere to talk
