we can also start the barbie vs. bratz war as well, if y'all want to.

but the original question is an absolute dealbreaker for me (/j) because i was an ever after high kid. yes, i was. and what are you gonna do about it, monster high kids? raven queen is bae, okay? and apple white is so hot, oh my lord- don't even get me started. they made all the girls look so hot for literally no reason- but yeah. although i can respect people who simp for the monster high girls. they're pretty hot.

also i'm well aware that a lot of people here will not understand this at all because i know the age range is quite wide on this platform, but i also know there are a good few of you who will. if you're one of those people please respond, this is your calling :)

I was too old when monster high dolls came out but my little sisters collected them religiously and it’s crazy how much you can sell them for online now. Almost wish I bought a few back then 😅 they also had ever after high but not as many. I however was a Barbie kid then bratz kid. I remember having a bratz themed birthday cake 🥺 thanks mom. But Barbie is older than bratz so that’s why I had so many. Also POLLY POCKETS yes and thank you.

yess oh my gosh i was definitely a barbie kid. my entire basement was filled with i think 2 or 3 full size dollhouses (before i started growing they were taller than me) and i had a whole bin full of barbies, clothes, and little items that they had for their houses. outgrew them obviously, but they were definitely a huge part of my childhood

i started as a slight monster high girl but was diehard ever after high when it came out. i'm still mad they cancelled it. especially after it looked like they might be going in a wlw way with darling and apple. (not to mention the subtext that briar and faybelle had going on in the last movie.) i really loved the character designs and stories and how they subverted expectations and twisted the classic fairytales. it was so much better and more thought out than monster high. i own several of the books and also three of the dolls (cerise, faybelle and kitty) that are still in-box on my shelf !! also the theme song slaps.

I start to feel old when two doll lines I began watching as an adult are now things people can talk about being a "kid" of.

I liked them both, but I always thought Monster High had the more well-crafted world and characters. Ever After High had some really beautiful character designs, but there was always a sort of slapped together feeling that a lot of its webisodes and specials had.

I was a Monster High... teen moreso than kid ahaha. I only collected the dolls and never watched the show or any related material, but the main thing I remember was that some of the dolls were nigh impossible to find. (If anyone here managed to find C.A. Cupid in the short window(s?) she was available, good work.) The male dolls never seemed to be around either; I think I managed to collect a grand total of three or so, and I'm pretty sure two of them were from sets. Never had any of the Ever After High dolls, but I've seen some and they look quite nice.
Going back earlier, I had both Barbies and Bratz dolls, and one or two of the weird hybrid combo that were the My Scene dolls. And Polly Pockets. I also have to mention that one of my favorite Barbies was the Princess of the Vikings Barbie. She had a sword.

neither bc I never played with dolls as a kid. I was a Webkinz kid lol (and I still am).

one of my friends used to have some Monster High dolls, I remember her having one that looked kinda like Cleopatra and guy that had like snake hair or something?? they were pretty cool but yeah I was never interested enough in dolls to have any besides the few Barbies that my mom gave to me from when she was a kid.

okay I did actually have a few Polly Pockets when I was about 6-7 years old. couldn't tell you what happened to any of them though 😅

I remember my parents surprising me with C.A. Cupid for Valentine's Day one year! I felt so guilty when I looked online and saw what she was selling for at the time. I don't even want to know how much they paid for her, lol.

I was definitely a Monster High girl, I was a bit too old and out of my doll phase when Ever After High was created, but I loved the webisodes. It was really sad seeing Mattel trash both of the doll lines by slowly making them worse and worse quality until they eventually just fizzled out. It's funny because my doll phase actually came back and I still do collect MH, EAH dolls, but this time in the form of repaints! Artists on Etsy can take old dolls and do beautiful things with them! I'd like to collect some signature MH dolls if they ever stop being ridiculously expensive, though.

I’ve never heard of Monster High or Ever After High, but I loved Bratz and Barbies as a kid! I had a bunch of them.

My niece used to be into them a long time ago, I'm 27 right now and she's 16 now so that was quite awhile ago, I'm pretty sure I was an adult already when they came out. But when I was a kid Barbie's and then eventually Bratz were a big thing. I was never into them, I liked Pokémon (still do) and stuff like that, I was never into dolls even though people got them for me all the time thinking I'd like them. If I was a kid when Monster High was out though I'd probably be interested in it, it seems a lot cooler to me than Barbie's.

Well, I was a bit old when Monster High and Ever After High were a thing, though I like both of them. I've seen Ever After High webisodes. I remembered the Monster High song. Just those.

Ahh, Barbie and Bratz. Both of them were awesome, but I loved Bratz even more because of the looks, including fashion. I've seen the show. I still have some dolls, CDs, and DVDs.

I loved watching Monster High, but I collected Ever After High dolls and sets, I don't remember much of Monster High though. I remember I got Raven Queen's vanity and a Raven Queen doll. I think I got another doll, but I don't remember what I got.

i was honestly a barbie girl for the majority of my childhood, so no other doll lines interested me much. however, i did go through a slight monster high phase, but i never owned any of the dolls — i just liked the movies and the website. 😅

that being said, i guess i like monster high more, though i always thought the ever after high dolls were super pretty.

I was a Webkinz kid lol (and I still am).

OMG OMGOGMLNFKSJGHN i was a webkinz kid too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wish i could still have a way to access my account, i'm pretty sure my pets have died at this point- but yeah. webkinz was my childhood along with animal jam and pbs kids lmao

Webkinz was my **** back in the day, lol. Unfortunately, I lost access to my account because someone got ahold of my password through no fault of my own. I was devastated. I had so much fun with Webkinz.

I was a Monster High kid. I only ever actually had like 2 dolls (one of which I broke lol) but I remember my friend and I being super into it when we were younger. Now that I think about it, I don't remember ever watching the TV show or movies though...I guess I just really liked the aesthetic of it.

i never played with dolls, i only played with a cat plush and legos so i can’t comment. i remember seeing a little advert on tv for the monster high show when it first came out, but i never watched it. i’ve actually never heard about ever after high before, they look like nice dolls but i like monster high dolls better just because of the aesthetic. also fun fact, according to wikipedia, the monster high franchise was released a day after my 5th birthday but i obviously can’t confirm that it’s true because it’s wikipedia.

my grandma got me a frankie doll since that was my nickname as a kid, but i never played with her because monster high came out right as i stopped playing with dolls. however now that i'm 21 (lol) and playing games like royale high i love dolls again. i watch barbie movies with my friends all the time but remember having a ton of bratz dolls.

i think the dolls i had the most were Winx dolls. i was OBSESSED with winx. i watched the show, had all the main fairies and two of the antagonists, had tons of t-shirts and whatnot. i remember getting a Bloom and Tecna doll for my 4th birthday when the show JUST came out and i was so hyped up.

also, i was totally a webkinz kid. my friend got me my first webkinz, i think it was the orange and black tabby? for my 6th birthday and i was hooked. i gave all my webkinz weird names like Karen or whatever because i was 6 and wasn't creative.

I was probably too old when Monster High and Ever After High were a thing, but I saw ads on TV, and I think Ever After High would have appealed more to me as a kid.
