I was too old for that phase. I probably would have been a monster high girl though.
I was more of a tomboy when little but I was definitely secretly a Barbie girl. I had so many of them. I used to make them little outfits and everything. The Barbie movies were also great back then.
I wasn't into them in my childhood. It was always barbie and disney princesses. But currently I would prefer MH because the fashion and one day I will start collecting them.
Monster high was way after my time but I didn't play with a lot of dolls when I was younger because I got hand-me-down toys from my brother. I might have had a barbie but I don't remember playing with dolls. At one point I did try to get into a doll collecting hobby in high school but I was into blythe and pullip dolls (only could afford one of each) because I went through a sewing phase and wanted to dress them up in patterns I learned.
monster high absolutely. love love love monster high even now. bought all the new reproduction dolls and i treasure them. always loved draculaura the most. love the fashion, the backstories, the punk vibe. they feel like bratz which i was also obsessed with when i was a kid. used to play with my aunts' hand-me-down bratz dolls growing up. i think both series really shaped my fashion taste now.
super happy monster high is coming back and can't wait to collect all the drac ones <3
To answer the first question posted in the first entry I was a Bratz kid I loved bratz so much I had all the merch I loved collecting all the dolls I loved the movies and PS2 games !!!!!!
To answer the main question to the thread I am a Monster High kid I loveddddddd the gothic vibe so much !!!!!!!
I was too old and had outgrown my obsession for dolls when either of them came out. I don't know much about either to comment which one I would've liked more
But as far as Bratz vs Barbie, I was Bratz 100% of the way. I owned so many dolls and a lot of the movies. Barbie was too girly and pink for my liking, so I preferred Bratz and their diversity of characters. I did enjoy some of the Barbie movies as well though.
