Don't quote me on this but I believe it's 9 PM PST :') so whatever timezone you're in it'd probably be this for you o/

Depends on region. For USA, at least, it's 12:00am EST. You can check your local Nintendo website for details.

If you pre download the game, how much of the game typically gets downloaded to your system? I'm assuming it won't have much to download on Friday.

My excited it too real! Everyone at my work has heard me talk about this game for WEEKS now! Ever since the last direct I've been on a hype train! Let's just hope shops will stay open till the game comes out and then everything can close for corvid-19 after that! I will gladly take a two week break from work while I play New Horizons.

I've resolved with my preferences that digital may be the only option in the worst case scenario. And likely the ONLY digital game I purchase, if need be. My only issue is my internet speed is GAAAAARBAGE, and if digital is an option forced on me I am NOT looking forward to the likely 8 hour download...

So just a heads up - if you need to go digital, the game is already for pre-load. So if it takes 8 hours, you can start preloaded a few days before so all you'll need is an update.
