looking at my steam wishlist, tales of seikyu and hello kitty: island adventures are the only ones with actual estimated release dates for next year. i'm also tentatively looking forward to legends z-a, but i really need to see more about that game and its quality before i decide whether or not i'm going to buy/play it. i think puffpals island skies was originally slated for an estimated 2025 release date, but uh... after a little research, it looks like they went silent on backers for months at a time and have been giving somewhat vague updates because of apparent legal restrictions? so, who knows what's happening with that or when it's coming, unfortunately. i'm certainly glad i ultimately didn't back it on kickstarter.
The main releases I'm looking forward to right now are Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time! I'll probably wait for reviews on the Fantasy Life sequel, but I'm hopeful it'll live up to the original!
I'm also excited for Fields of Mistria's full release!! I'll look into it more then before buying, but everything I've heard about the early access version has sounded really promising. If Peachleaf Valley: Seeds of Love releases in 2025 as planned, I'll definitely be looking into it more too, but it's probably the one I'm most cautiously hopeful about. I'm always veryyy skeptical of Kickstarter games ever actually releasing/general quality/how much it actually delivers on promises if it does make it to release, eheh
I'm cautiously optimistic about Pokemon Legends Z-A. I didn't like the concept of Legends Arceus, but this game's premise sounds like it might be interesting. At the very least, I want to know about what new Mega Evolutions we'll be getting for the future!
- Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake: I've only in the past couple years gotten into the Dragon Quest series. I still haven't gotten the Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake and am probably not going to be rushing out to get this day one, but I'm glad that they're making these older entries more accessible.
-Grand Theft Auto VI
- Monster Prom 4: Monster Con
-Pokémon Legends: Z-A
- Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution: I didn't know about this one. Apparently a cancelled game they were working on for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002; they brought development back and, alongside the normal multiplatform options, are also releasing an actual Game Boy Advance cartridge version with Limited Run Games.
Pokemon Legends ZA has my interest for sure. The only other one I can think of right now that releases in 2025 and I'm definitely getting is Ratatan, the Patapon sequel.
The big one for me is Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. It's been years since they first announced it, but I'm glad the finish line is in sight for it. I'll for sure be getting it on release day, barring any weirdness with the Switch's successor affecting it.
Beyond that, Grand Theft Auto VI is one I'll likely pick up on release day. I'm also looking forward to Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but I'm unsure if I'll pick that up right away. Assassin's Creed Shadows is something I know I'll get at some point, but not when it's released.
Mainly just Pokemon Legends Z-A right now. I loved Legends Arceus it was a breath of fresh air, so I’m curious to see what they change and improve for the next Legends game.
