Saturday is usually a recovery day for me, but I went out yesterday, so I thought I'd be dead today. When I checked my heart monitor this morning it actually told me I was doing better than normal, so of course I had to take advantage of an expectedly good health day!
I got through the majority of my admittedly over-ambitious chore list. I did some cleaning, animal maintenance, and got some cooking done. I baked a loaf of cheddar & sundried tomato bread, made a slow-cook lamb rogan josh (curry), and prepped ingredients for a sausage casserole to chuck in the slow cooker before I go to work tomorrow.
My partner didn't want to watch the next two episodes of Star Trek: Voyager because they're time travel episodes set in 1996. I'm not a fan of these types of episodes either in sci-fi as I prefer spaceship-based content to stuff based on Earth, but she's seen this show before and I haven't, so I watched them while she was out training today (she volunteers as a host at IRL events). They were actually so good! I'm glad I didn't outright skip them as she wanted to - especially as a new technology was discovered that I'm sure will influence future episodes (probably not a spoiler given these epsiodes aired 27 years ago but let's censor just to be safe) the holographic Doctor was given a device that allows him to exist outside of sickbay / holodeck.
My partner is due home within an hour and the plan for the evening is cuddling up together on the couch to watch more Voyager. I didn't really want to pause after finishing that two-parter earlier, so very much looking forward to it!
Aaand below is a little pic spam because I love my furry sons and they've been super sweet today.
I love a productive day at home. I'm the primary homemaker and caregiver, in addition to working full-time, so it is absolutely a juggling act. Being disabled makes it a goddamn challenge, but I'm so proud when I'm on top of it.

First thing this morning:

Sebastian joined me while I watched Voyager and contributed by being adorable.

The boys aren't allowed in the kitchen when I cook because they've no awareness of danger (I've a gas stovetop and use extremely sharp knives) . While I was cooking I put Cat TV on to keep them occupied. Delta was so enraptured I let him watch for another half hour after I came back through to the living room.
