What Are You Happy About Today?

A few good things happened technically yesterday (February 24, 2023)!
  • It was sunny and clear for the entire day!
  • Feel free to skip this point. That's right, I saw a car I haven't mentioned yet, and it's a third-generation Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STI! Some people nickname it the "hawkeye" because of the headlight design. Also, a Porsche spaceship decided to show up again lol.
  • I got to play Gran Turismo 7 and I'm still very much enjoying the new track that's added to the game. I even got to make another simple livery too!
I tried my best to make Isabelle's kart design from Mario Kart 8. Also, don't mind me duking it out against the RE Amemiya FD3S RX-7 (left) and the 2017 Honda NSX while being heavily exposed to the dangers around me lol.

  • I've been listening to a lot of good music.
  • I made significant progress on my drawing in the past couple of days! Now I'm starting the outlines and hopefully get the majority of it done before Monday.
 
Today I'm happy because:

- I enjoyed reading my book last night.
- I slept well last night and got to sleep in this morning.
- I played some Tetris and Lonesome Village and rescued another villager.
- I ate my first Cadbury Creme Egg of the season. Love those things!
- I spent the day relaxing at home with my husband and my dog.
- I'm looking forward to reading some more tonight and getting some sleep.
 
Yesterday I was happy:
My family and I went out to eat and it was delicious. We're trying to find a place to eat that's kind of nice. Then we found this Asian restaurant and they had Korean bbq, pot stickers and boba tea 🧋 which I was all very happy with ! 😋 Then afterward we went to a comic store, it was fun to just walk around.

I noticed my practice has paid off recently and I was pleased with that. I feel to tired to have practiced violin yesterday and today though (because of the outings I took), so that skill probably will wear off by tmr. Oh well. It's not that big of a deal.

I had work today, which wasn't great because i had a long shift, but it was mostly chill.

By the time I got home I learnt of a relative extending an invitation for my family and I to have dinner together, I was so excited to go out again. I got chicken Alfredo, and raspberry ice cream. It was pretty expensive, but still yum. I was also happy to have a way to dress up and put up my hair. I curled it with hot irons and it looked nice.

I am so so happy that Im getting a vacation soon, and that a few of my concerts will be over soon as well.

Hopefully I will go to bed soon. I'm so worn out. 🥱

☾ We were having some technical issues and I was worried we wouldn't be able to, but my family and I were finally able to watch our usual episodes of Fairy Tail and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood this morning!!
☾ Got to see a lot of nice new art of some of my comfort characters!!
☾ Expanded my desktop wallpaper rotation some more!
☾ I caught up on a little bit of ACNH! I found a couple of good DIYs too. ^^
☾ And I made a couple more rubber band bracelets, and finished an embroidery floss bracelet for myself! I'm also planning to go through and reorganize my skeins before calling it a night. ^^
 
- Glad that I only have a few chapters left before I finish Fire Emblem Engage.

- The Dallas Stars defeated the Las Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 yesterday in a shootout. They really needed that as uh, that five game losing streak was not pretty, lmao.

- I finally have my medicine back and get to sleep in. I'm going to need the extra rest for work this week.

- Looking forward to watching the newest My Hero Academia episode later today.
 
I had to replace my joycons on my switch here recently. They were the best joycons I've ever had. They lasted me two+ years, but now they have slight joycon drift. Luckily my mom let me have her new switch default ones that came with it when she bought it a couple years ago that she never used. So I charged them and now got some new ones. So happy I can still play. ☺️
 
Quite a lot of things, actually!

❤Came back to a lot of Happy Birthday messages from my friends here! Even though my birthday was exactly a month ago, it still made me very happy to see those messages!
🧡Tomorrow is pokemon day, and I'm curious and excited to see what games will be announced, or updated!
💛Watched a funny YouTube video that made my day! Unfortunately, I don't have a link it though 😕
💚Was able to get some drawing done, both digitally and traditionally!
💙Had a nice conversation with my dad about something I was worried about
💜Lastly, I know it's kinda corny, but I really appreciate you guys! Like I said before, I wasn't really expecting that many birthdays messages, but it still really made my day.
 
Daily happies:

🥪 Meal prepped today for the next three days. Lunch and dinner in the bag! As a serial takeout consumer, I’m so proud :’)

📚 Helped my friend with our physics homework and she said I was a good teacher. *clutches heart*

🧋 My friend bought me boba!

🎨 Puttered around in an image editor and figured out how to accomplish some effects I like, so I’m slowly updating my island journal with (imperceptibly 😜) improved graphics.

🛋 Had a good chat with my roommate.

💌 My partner had a rough mental health day today and I was able to be there for them. They deserve this and more. They’re always there for me.

🛒 Wasn’t super productive today, but went grocery shopping with my roomie and accomplished some trivial schoolwork + bigger health related tasks. Small wins.

💫 I’m enjoying working on my Island Journal and the general camaraderie at TBT. I cherish y’all, have a good night!! ✨
 
I'm a little sad that my week-long break from college is over and that my classes start again tomorrow, but I'll list a few things before I sign off for the night. 😌

February 25, 2023
  • I got a haircut! It's been almost six months since I last went and now I don't have to deal with a lot of hassle for a good while lol.
  • I ate a beef patty from a small business and it feels great supporting them. I also ate some fries eventually that I baked in the oven.
  • I made HUGE progress in my drawing!
  • While I was drawing, I listened to a huge compilation of relaxing soundtracks from the Gran Turismo series. A lot of them gave me nostalgia, especially from 5 which hit me really hard. It's almost as if I went back in time to 2012 (wait, that's over ten years ago now?!?). If you guys ever fancy listening to some music in the background doing whatever, I'll drop it in a spoiler to check it out. 😌
The first one that plays in the video absolutely gets me omg. Aaaaand in case you're wondering about the car pictured on the cover, it looks a lot like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991)!

  • The weather was sunny today.
  • I ate some fries and a junior chicken sandwich from Mcdonalds. What makes it even better was that they were extra hot (almost a little too hot haha)!
  • I pretty much spent most of the day finishing up my drawing, and I did! I love how it turned out and @/BrokenSanity did too since I made it for them featuring a couple of their OCs and even their own villager that they created during the 2022 Celebrating Diversity event (I know occasionally talk about that event since it's been many months now, but what a wonderful event that was with many familiar faces participating)! But yeah, it makes me happy that BrokenSanity loved the drawing I made especially since they always imagined one of their OCs having fun playing their electric guitar. Oh, and they even got to use it as a part of their signature, so if you see them around, you'll know lol.
  • I'm gonna sneak in a quick play session of Gran Turismo 7 then I'll call it a night hehe.
My week-long break was enjoyable while it lasted since I got to spend a good chunk of it relaxing, drawing, and of course, playing Gran Turismo 7. 🚗
 
Today I'm happy because:

- I slept deeply last night and got to sleep in this morning.
- The worst of my back pain is a distant memory. I still get some tightness and mild pain, but whenever I think about how it used to keep me awake and in tears all night, I feel so relieved that I've come this far.
- I got some chores done at home.
- I played more Tetris and Lonesome Village.
- I watched another episode of Aggretsuko and the latest episode of My Hero Academia.
- I had a nice day at home with my husband and my dog.
 
☾ This week's episode of One Piece was... certainly something, in a number of ways. I mean that positively, I'm just still at a bit of a loss for words. If you know, you know.
☾ Reorganizing my embroidery floss took longer than I expected it to, so I had to stop last night, but I picked it back up today and made some more progress! Unfortunately I've gotta wait for more bobbins to arrive before I can do anything more, but I enjoyed just chilling out with some Youtube videos in the background while I was working on it. I think when I'm done I should be able to free up an entire extra container too!
☾ I also finished another embroidery floss bracelet for myself! The color-sorting I'd already done made it a lot easier to find the colors that I wanted. ^^
☾ My family and I watched Solidarity's latest Empires episode this evening!
 
A few small things…

➣ The colors are great for my Croconaw wall graphic. I put it up for display at my current living situation to experience it. I am definitely getting a new one when I get an apartment of my own. I’m not sure if this picture will do it justice; the colors are much more vibrant in person. I’ll also be installing it more professionally to alleviate the air bubbles on the next one.
The colors in the second spoiler are more accurate than what my phone is taking a picture of very late at night in a barely lit living room, lol.
