What Are You Happy About Today?

I'm starting seeds inside next week and Ive been thinking about how I'm going to go about it....
Then I remembered I have two old fish tanks in storage I can grow seeds in and it can be like a little green house by the window. Only hamsters have been in it, no fish, so the glass isn't gross or anything.
I'm going to see if I can find some plastic trays just to cut down on mess in the tank. One is 20gal long. If I can, then I can pour a little water in the tank, and the plants can grow in trays in the tank so the soil isn't all over the tank. That way I can control the humidity a little. We'll see. Either way it is better than open little containers on a table. Yay!

- It's a Friday and the weekend is FINALLY here! Been waiting for this.

- Weather was sunny outside today and it's looking a lot like spring!

- I had an Oreo sundae from Baskin Robbins. Treated myself for working hard this week at my job.

- I'm about to go practice some self-care and just chill.

My little cozy corner makes me happy. It's been a process putting it all together, and I did a little bit more organizing of it today. It's not fully done yet but just seeing how much it's come together makes me happy. I love sitting here to escape my computer/work space. In terms of what I need to fix, probably space out a few of those Oshawotts to my shelf/desk, and then just want to organize the vines a little neater + find the right throw for winter use--I am planning on drawing my own print for one just stuck on going with a donut theme to match or embrace my other love and do a (n afternoon) tea theme.

And also, maybe the best and worst purchase I've made in my life. This happened last week but I finally got an opportunity to spray and wipe it down (spring please come soon). I uh, was looking to replace the big pikachu on the left with another Oshawott, and found someone selling the carnival ones for a good price. But...

I, uh, misjudged the size of it.....by a lot. I still am questioning the mistakes I've made but I still can't help but smile when I see it. I was originally going to get the giant Arcanine plush but decided to ultimately skip it incase they released a jumbo Oshawott, now I don't even need to, and payed a literal fraction of the price the TPC would have charged so it worked out well. I have literally no idea where to put it atm but that is a worry for another time.

Other than that. Finished up work for the week, and I have completed the bulk of my commission queue finally. Gonna spend tonight finishing the last of an older one and starting on the one I accepted yesterday. Nice chill evening today~

PMS has kinda been kicking my butt these past couple days, but!
☾ I took a few minutes to finally beat Morty and get my Fog Badge in Pokemon HeartGold! I'd almost finished training up my team last time, so it didn't take me very long at all.
☾ Saw a huge slug outside! It was so big it had a visible spotty pattern—not the most common of little fellas around here.
☾ I played a little bit of Rune Factory 5 today too! I also had a little bit of spending money and some Nintendo gold points I needed to use up, so I decided to get the outfit DLCs! Now I have even more options
☾ Watched some Youtube with my family! The antics going on in Grian's Limited Life series are truly something ahahaha
☾ I'm nice and cozy in my fuzzy kitty socks and a pullover sweatshirt, and I'm gonna relax with making some rubber band bracelets before bed.

♡ Changed my aesthetic for MAR10 Day today and I'm loving it! I'm also matching with @Mr_Keroppi, so that's cool!

♡ Made a couple more online friends on one of the Discord servers I'm on! We also made a group chat (with another one of our online friends too) where we mainly talk about Miis and Tomodachi Life. ^^

♡ Found a lot of System of a Down songs I like! Deer Dance is one of my new favorites now, but I also really like Needles, Forest, Sad Statue, and Prison Song!

♡ Watched some South Park over the week, I'm on season 17 now! The intro changed as well and it's pretty cool, it's basically a revamped version (kinda) of the first intro but with extra details and in 3D. :0

Today I'm happy because:

- I decided to work from home today so I got to hit the snooze button a few extra times.
- Our system issues at work were mostly resolved today.
- I finally got caught up on emails and closed out a few incidents in my queue.
- I picked up some tasty snacks and some salad supplies at the grocery store.
- It's Friday and I have the whole weekend off!
- I'm looking forward to reading tonight and getting to sleep in tomorrow morning.

➣ My favorite person never disappoints. I cut myself on something at work and she showed way more concern than necessary. She insisted on disinfecting the cut before I covered it. I truly believe she loves me the way she says she does. It’s the little **** she does, man. I’m not doubting anymore.
➣ I worked with my dish partner (who is very autistic) this morning. He was very eager to help today. I told his helper how great he was doing, and his helper said I was awesome. I always look forward to working with him each week. That made my day just a little better hearing that.
➣ I have the next two days off to sleep and play some Mario Kart. I’m enjoying the new courses, especially Singapore Speedway. I admire the views. It reminds me of train scenery, lol.
➣ Seeing the few Mario aesthetics around the forum has me smiling. It feels nice to be surrounded by so many Super Mario fans, even if this is a Nintendo based forum.

• Bought Blossom a new toy to keep her occupied. It's a plush tree trunk with three removable squirrels, you can put treats inside and it's funny watching her try to get them out. She even loves just playing with the squirrels!
• Caught up with a lot of housework yesterday, hopefully can finish it off today and start on some paperwork!
• Played some New Horizons on my second island last night. Bought a bridge kit from Tom Nook, so going to try and decide where to place it today. Dobie was amusing, he said his arms were sore after waving so much to try and get my attention, as I haven't properly played for about 6 weeks. I will have to check in with Buck today. I hope he's not too annoyed with me!
• Watched an episode of 'The Dukes of Hazzard', no matter what is going on, that is 50 minutes of escapism for me. Especially looking at the handsome Rosco!
• Bought some Lavender perfume, I'm not usually a lavender fan, but I love the scent now!
• Some of my Mum's plants are coming up already. That made me smile and a few happy tears as she always loved to see her plants/flowers blooming.

It’s been over a week since I last came onto TBT, actually. The past couple of weeks have been pretty hectic for me, but I’m happy to say that I got a lot of stuff unloaded off of my shoulders! I’m gonna recap some stuff that I can remember. Also, apologies in advance that I absolutely destroyed your notifications lol. Had to catch up reading all the posts!

March 2, 2023, to March 9, 2023

• I watched part two of a Zelda randomizer involving Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask in the same game! It was pretty hilarious how much they had to suffer for quite a bit before finally getting the hookshot for both games and progressing further. It was also funny watching them trying to navigate through the water dungeons, but I can feel their pain to some degree lol (why are water areas in video games so annoying?).

• I read the tenth volume of The Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess manga! I thought that it would be the last one but turns out the next one will be the final according to my short research.

• The first race of the 2023 Formula 1 season finally went underway on March 5, 2023! It took place in Bahrain and I was pleasantly surprised that the Aston Martins are actually competitive compared to last year. Fernando Alonso impressed me the most as he managed to finish in 3rd place on the podium! And I was also able to witness a couple of awesome overtakes he did, especially against Lewis Hamilton. That was so satisfying to watch as it was really smooth and clean, especially on a corner where overtakes typically don't happen! Let’s also note that Alonso has been in Formula 1 since his debut in 2001 (not counting his retirement period from 2019 to 2020) and he’s still got a lot of fighting spirit in him. Looks like age is not a factor for him as he’s 41 years old lol.

• I ate some pizza over the weekend taking advantage of the 50% deal they had at the time.

• I saw the trailer for the Super Mario Movie! There were a couple of funny moments and noticed a few small details after rewatching it a few times. Feeling pretty excited about the movie, though I may watch it a few weeks after it's first released in theaters because I'm anticipating that it'll be packed for a long while (and also because of college stuff).

March 10, 2023 (Happy MAR10 Day btw!)

• Throughout the span of two weeks, I am very happy that I managed to overcome the midterms that came before me and did very well on all of them which made me feel very relieved! There were a bunch of assignments in between and I’m also glad that I managed to complete the majority of them. I got a couple more, but thankfully I should be able to finish the rest of them during the weekend since I made good progress working on them in college. It feels so good to get them over with as I was feeling pretty overwhelmed at the beginning and had to take time for myself at one point. Let’s goooo!

• I finally got the lost book collectible that some of us have been waiting for from the New Year, New Horizons island journal event! Now I'm lowkey scared of what's to come for the easter event. I don't want another repeat of egg #6 lol.

• I got to listen to a bunch of music!

• I saved the best for last and while it actually happened technically two days ago, I still feel extremely happy about it. @/xSuperMario64x made an absolutely lovely drawing for me and I wanted to squeal after first setting my eyes on it. It’s actually a request I made months ago, but I didn’t mind the wait at all considering the stuff Bug has been dealing with in his life. A few people on here may have already seen it, BUT LOOK AT THIS OMG.

For those who don’t know, the one on the left is my animal villager, Pag-asa (by the way, he looks really good in orange and it's great Bug went for that clothing) while the one on the right is Bug’s fursona, Sterling! I only requested him to draw my villager with something I had in mind, but this just blows it out of the water by a huge mile. A Philippine eagle and a silver fox vibing together in the same picture with sparkles and rainbows. They're waving hi to each other!

Awesome stuff I tell ya, and I’m really grateful to be friends with Bug. Sticking a bunch of stickers on a car in a video game really did a lot of things strengthening my friendship with him. If I didn't nerd out on cars and do a heck ton of drawings, I don't think this would've existed in the first place. Now, I don't know if you'll see this my friend but I want to say a huge thank you for everything. I'll cherish this drawing for a very long time.

By the way, I did a thing!

Yup, I spent some time today tracing those two over in Inkscape so I could use them as decals in Gran Turismo 7. I was smiling all the way while making this. Anyways, the photos feature the 1999 Honda S2000 and the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6)! I think it's safe to say that the friend power of Pag-asa and Sterling automatically increases the horsepower by 25 haha.

If you look closely, you could also see a drawing of Queenie peeking through that @/BrokenSanity made for me a while ago.

☆ Yesterday was the last day for grades because my school IS PRINTING OUR TERM 3 REPORT CARDS! They delayed it so people could get their's higher but I AM SO HAPPY! All of my grades are A's!! In ELA I have a 99%, In Science I have a 98%, In Math I have a 96% In Social Studies I have a 99%, In Technology Systems I have a 96% and for Visual Arts I have a 96%!!!
☆ I saw @ZeldaCrossing64 had a BEAUTIFUL Peach Aesthetic and I loved it so much that I did Daisy! I love Mario so much that I decided to keep it for a little while longer than just yesterday! I HAVE BEEN A MASSSSSSSSIVE DAISY FAN SINCE I WAS LIKE 4
☆ Today I am going to my first wedding! I have never been to one so I am excited, congratulations neighbors! Actually I did go to a wedding before but it was at a highschool and we got there 2 hours late because we got lost lol
☆ I made another Fifth Harmony poster in photoshop and I am going to see if Staples will allow me to print it and put it in my room! I hope its not ilegal bc I REALLY WANT THEMMMMMM.
☆ In ACNL I have been making progress on the badges I do not have! I don't remember if I said but in the past few months I finally got the Gold Refurbishing Badge, The Bronze Postman Badge, & The Silver Medalist!!
☆ I changed my Signature Shop so its no where near as confusing as it used to be! I have so much fun making them so I love showing them off!
☆ Just like it has been in Animal Crossing, my grass in real life is sprouting again and growing!
☆ We are going out to eat at a nice restaurant tomorrow for my Father's birthday! My PoPo and Nanna are going

I went to a really cool place on Friday. It's a combined cafe/eatery/bar/mini bookstore all in one. It was a really cool place and their food was really good. I bought Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman while I was there, which I read over the weekend and really enjoyed

This sounds amazing; that's literally my dream kind of place. You could spend all day there. Start with coffee and breakfast, shift to lunch, then shift to the bar for happy hour... all while reading! I'm so glad you had a nice time! ️

☾ I finished the railway I was working on in Minecraft and got the On A Rail achievement! I might work on speeding it up a tad, but at least now I've got an easy trip to and from the stronghold I found.
☾ Finished watching the Zero arc in Fairy Tail and rewatched another episode of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood with my family this morning!
☾ Got to work on my current request some more!
☾ Played Rune Factory 5 again today! I tamed some useful monsters, and my level 6 turnip won the Summer Harvest Festival too I'm usually kind of hit-and-miss on the appeals portion of these events, but I did really well this time!
☾ Also made a couple more rubber band bracelets! I feel like I've been on a roll with these lately ahaha. Might make some more before bed, we'll see.

⛈ today was rough, but i'm still going to recount my daily happies because there are still things i'm grateful for.

got a bit of studying done and made a study plan for the week. i was really intimidated to get back into the groove of studying biochemistry again, but now that i'm chugging along, things feel more manageable.

re-started watching "squid game" with my partner, which i watched about three episodes of during the peak of its hype and then never continued with. it's so disturbing but i want to know what happens.

made myself boba, and my dad made me filter coffee and chai (at various points of the day). i love that man and i'm going to miss him so much when i go back to school tomorrow.

my partner has been really proactive about finding places for us to live in the summer. i'm really excited about moving in together.

i learned a new style of braiding and my hair looks dope.

i've finally caved in to collecting... well... collectibles, and it's been fun shopping around and snagging cool collectibles in the giveaways in the marketplace. thanks to everyone i've bought from or gave them away for free. i love my lil tortimer and famous mushroom. next in my sights... the toy hammer!

️ tonight was terrible. it's compounded by the fact that it's my last night at home. my partner is sitting with me in silence even though i didn't want to talk about it because they don't want me to be alone. no matter how *bleep*y life gets, i feel safe and loved by them.

life is tough but thanks for being my cozy internet escape, bell tree folks. stay golden

I’m a silly girl, but I’m feeling happy and good about doing this. I decided to change back everything to my original stuff. Though this time I’m mixing it up. I figured I can still like the cute, pink, and pretty stuff, but also like everything else too. So I’m back to normal now and now I don’t have to be too picky about everything, so it’s a huge relief. Plus, I like a little bit too much of everything, so sticking to just one thing was waaay too stressing.

Also, I reset my New Horizons island last night so I could change back to my original island name that I should’ve stayed with. I also wasn’t liking my island map and the thought of having to overly terraform was like, “No way, I’m not doing this.” So, I transferred my bells and NMTs to my mom’s island to hold on to it for me. I found a much better island map now and are now gonna start posting in my island journal thread today. So, I’m looking forward to that here in a bit.

- I slept pretty well last night and I got to sleep in this morning.
- My dog snuggled with me on the couch while I watched TV.
- I spent some quality time with my husband.
- I had a nice, hot shower.
- I started playing Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe.
- We went out for dinner at my favorite restaurant.
- My dinner was delicious and I saved half of it for dinner tomorrow.
- I had a strawberry cream sponge cake for dessert and it was amazing.
- I messed around with the character creator in FFXIV on my husband's account and came up with a look I really love. I'm planning to start my own account to play with my husband soon.
- I get to sleep in again tomorrow morning.

- The Dallas Stars outshined the Seattle Kraken tonight 4-3 in overtime!!!! I was not expecting that, as the Stars have been struggling in overtime all season.
