What Are You Happy About Today?

My favorite person did this in the back of a manga she got me for my birthday. I didn’t even realize until recently. I was so appreciative of all the little gifts, but this is just perfect.

My mom told me that it would be smart to get a water bottle for Disney World, so I went ahead and got a Bachira sticker for it, because why not? Hoping to meet some other fans of the anime if they recognize it.

In the midst of negotiating an eBay sale. Hopefully we can come to an agreement.
I slept in today and had tons of fun playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with a friend!

- Did a 30 min workout last night 💪

- Got half of my policy proposal finished last night too, only 750 more words to go o_O

- Enjoyed some dark rye sourdough toast today, one half with butter and marmite, the other half with peanut butter and banana. Delicious!

- Planned out stuff to do on my Austria trip. I think planning travel stuff has become a way for me to avoid doing work, but I enjoy it! 😅

- Finished Shiroi Suna no Aquatope today, and I really enjoyed this anime ❤️

Hope everyone is having/had a lovely weekend. ❤️
  • I bought Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, so I spent some time playing that this weekend. 😊 This is my first Story of Seasons game. It's quite cute, and I'm enjoying it. I started on normal mode, and I wonder whether it would have been better to start on seedling mode, but maybe it will be better in the long run!
  • I went on a hike yesterday (Sunday), and I saw more wild kangaroos in one place than I've ever seen before! There were about five or six families, each like this one (not great photo quality, wasn't expecting to take pictures!). There were several that also had joeys visibly in their pouches. 🥺 It was morning and it had just stopped raining, so the weather was cold and the sun was starting to come out. It was a good time to walk! 😊

It's Monday here now. Hope everyone has a great start to the week! ❤️

I hiked a gorgeous trail today and found the most beautiful millipede! It's a species that secretes small amounts of a cyanide compound when agitated but I was careful not to upset him. 😅

normally, bugs would scare me, but this little guy seems so fascinating. what a cool find!

A microfiber cloth I ordered arrived safely today!! I already own the drama CD that it's usually paired with as a set, so I'm really happy I was able to find it being sold separately. ;w; Every time I saw the set pair I'd have to tell myself that I don't need two copies of the same drama CD ahaha
The newest episode of One Piece was great, and beautifully animated too! My family and I also re-watched another episode of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood this morning.
I've been easing back into my workouts! I had to stop while I was sick, and while I don't fully have my stamina back yet (can only do about 20 minutes before I start coughing), I've missed it and I think it's already having a positive effect on my mood.
Saw GoodTimesWithScar's latest episode of Hermitcraft this evening!
I did a bit more reading and I'm almost through with the book I'm on!
I've fully upgraded my coop in Stardew Valley and I have my first rabbit now too!

I’ve been working a TON on marketing my art and I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made this week. I came up with a full Terms of Service, price guides, uploading an entire gallery, creating subscriptions, creating a discord server, created a linktree…tons of work. Also worked on another piece of art tonight that I‘ll be posting all over the place tomorrow haha. Link is in my sig, if anyone wants to check it all out!

Today I'm happy because:

- I got some more reading done last night. I've found a new character in the Wheel of Time series that I think is going to become a favorite of mine.
- While I was reading, my dog pushed his blanket right up next to me and nudged my arm out of the way to curl up against my hip.
- I slept very well again last night and got to sleep in this morning. I've felt rested all day.
- My husband and I watched a movie together at home and it was fun.
- I watched another episode of Made in Abyss and it was the best episode yet in my opinion. Season 1 episode 7 for anyone who cares (the introduction of Ozen).
- I saw another baby groundhog in my backyard this evening. It ran off to its den, but then sat there and watched us through the fence. I've decided to name this one Fiona.
- It was another all around pleasant and relaxing day off.

I am incredibly jealous of both of you! 🦘🐛💖

I was overdue on replacing my hockey apparel. The Adidas contract is done, these look less out-of-date, I suppose. Plus, they are more of a DRI-FIT material, so it’s more comfortable to wear in hot climates. My dad also got me a Fanatics gift card, so this was great timing. I really like how it’s using the Kings black and not some random shade of jet black. The Kings have a very specific black on the shield and I’m happy this brand captured it well. I’ve never worn this brand before, but good first impression. Nice fabric and all!

I saw Keagan today. Of the several pictures, he was only looking at the camera in a few of them. I loved seeing him and sharing my food with him.

I’m happy about seeing my mom and my friend soon! The friend is going to show me more of what she’s taking with her on our trip to Disney World. I really like seeing what people pack and it gets me excited for my upcoming trip. It’s going to be so nice not working and being able to feel like a kid again, lol.

Sorry, I got a supermassive post oops. 😆

May 17, 2023 to May 20, 2023
  • A few days had pleasant weather with sunny skies.
  • I bought a couple of Hotwheels since my previous post. The two of them are the BMW 507 and the Audi RS E-tron GT!
Hotwheels 7.PNG
  • I went for a walk a few times.
  • Just playing Tears of the Kingdom and continuing to enjoy playing the game. Got a few laughs too from some funny moments lol.
  • Feel free to skip this point. No new cars to mention but after initially seeing it almost two years ago, I saw a Toyota Celica (ST185) again! Sadly, it's not in Gran Turismo 7 rip. Oh, a Porsche Taycan Turbo S (or what I'd like to call the "spaceship") decided to show up again and it amuses me every time lol.
  • I saw a fluffy samoyed on my way to pick up my sister from school once!
  • While I initially wanted to shade my drawing, I decided against it in the end and left it as is. Even then it still looks pretty good!
  • On two occassions, I cooked some tasty food for dinner. One being sauteed green beans and the other being spaghetti! I felt like Link cooking the food lol.
  • I went to a store with my mother and sister and we saw this book that brought back memories when I was still a baby. It made me smile and wanted to read through it again so I did. We also ended up buying it in the end since we somehow lost the old one years ago.
It's Love You Forever by Robert Munsch! I remember my mother reading this to me on a nightly basis when I was just a baby and eventually drifting off to sleep. The book is mainly about no matter how old the child gets even up to adulthood, his mother would always be there to sing him a lullaby at night because of her love. Gosh, it's a really nice book that my mother read this to me way back then. 😭

  • I went on an early morning car stroll with my mother and sister! Not only were the roads fairly empty, but the sunrise was beautiful as well! To top it off, I was also listening to relaxing music in the background while driving, with some of them being from Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom hehe.
Riding (Night) - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • My sister, mother, and I ate a couple of things from Tim Hortons halfway into our car stroll. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese. 😋
  • I did some laundry.
  • I played some more Tears of the Kingdom and completed the first dungeon in the game! Not gonna share too much details about it because spoilers, but it does feel more traditional to the older Zelda games compared to the divine beasts back in Breath of the Wild.
  • I vacuumed the floors around the house and it put me in a good mood as a bit of dirt was starting to build up. Pretty satisfying too seeing the floor get clean!
  • I still very much like the updated profile pic I made featuring my animal villager OC lol.
  • I really appreciate chatting with @/xSuperMario64x over the past few days. I'm very grateful to be a rad friend to him just genuinely listening and trying to understand while vibing with each other as well. I'll never forget how it all started in the first place. 💛💜

Two big ones:

  • I went to the Twice concert in Tokyo yesterday! I was happy with the seat I got (everyone who found their seats around me were talking about how good they turned out, it was all randomized) and it was nice to finally see them in person after being a fan for nearly 7 years.
  • Got an email right away today through my recruiter that I got the first interview for the job I really want! Seems like things are moving along more quickly than normal for this company since it's an urgent recruitment. Only downside to this is that I now have less time to prepare for the interview, whenever it ends up being, so I'll have to keep pushing each day to be ready in time

It's a little yearly tradition of mine to add a new Alpacasso or Wooly Sheep plush (okay... sometimes two) to my collection every May. This year's was this little orange fellow from the Macaron series, who arrived here safely today! 🧡 Despite it being one of my favorite series for all the unique colors you don't typically see in other Alpacasso plush lines, this is actually the first one I've actually managed to get my hands on!

I finished reading volume 12 of Durarara!!! Just one more volume to go—I've been keeping pace really well with trying to read roughly twenty-five pages a day. Soon I'll need to decide what I want to read next!
I played a little Stardew Valley! I've got the wallpaper/flooring catalogue now and Robin's building me a barn. ^^
Watched the newest Life of Luxury video with my mom—I don't... quite know how to describe this channel (horror comedy? horror parody...?*), but my mom and I both think it's absolutely hilarious and their videos have become kind of a comfort series for us. This one was actually a sequel to the first video of theirs that we watched, so that was extra neat. My parents and I watched a few other videos today too!

*By George I hope they're not meant to be serious

Today I'm happy because:

- I had a short work day due to an appointment, but I set attainable goals and paced myself well enough to meet them before I logged off.
- The weather continues to be nice. I appreciate all the flowers and the scent of honeysuckle in the air.
- I saw some cute dogs on our afternoon walk.
- My husband saw both bunnies together in our backyard this morning and I saw them both again this evening. One is Olive and since I think the other may be a mate, I've decided to name it Xavier. Xavier is much more courageous than Olive, staying in the yard but keeping a certain distance and watching us closely.
- I had an appointment with my new doctor this afternoon since my last one retired. All of my vitals look good and he plans to keep me on the same medication for anxiety/depression since it's been working for me. I have to go back in a few weeks to check on one potential concern, but he didn't think it was anything too worrisome. He just wants to be cautious and make sure it's nothing.
- I enjoyed spending time with my husband and my dog this evening.

I applied for a job the other day! I'm still waiting to see if I get accepted or not, but this is already a big step for me. If I do get the job, I'll be able to work in a bakery in my town during the summer and put some money aside!

I got to work on a few drawings and sketches, including my current avatar! (Remake of my "I'd like a new hat" avatar from last year, I love how it looks!) I'm seeing a huge improvement in my art, and I'm really proud of myself!

I've gotten back to making slowed + reverb mixes! I mainly did Nintendo OSTs back then, but I decided to switch it up to System of a Down songs! So far I only have one uploaded, but I have a few more in my files that I've made.

Watched a bit of Poofesure today! I saw his new (and most likely final) Wii Party Globe Trot video, as well as a Wii Sports Resort golf video I missed. I enjoyed both videos and had a few good laughs.

I had a fairly productive day today; I showered, cleaned my room, and did a few English assignments! (Also the slowed + reverb songs, but that's more of a side hobby than anything, aha.)

More of a small thing, but I'm glad I got Google Photos working again. No images were saving at all, and I was pretty devastated. Turns out I just had to free up some space and everything turned out fine. But now I get to save my drawings and take pictures of my cats (and my grandma's kittens)!

Here's what happened yesterday:
- I ate some Indian food for dinner that my mom ordered.
- Watched a football match and the team I was rooting for won.
- Received an A on a quiz for Geography class.
- Played New Horizons and I visited Megan's house since she just moved in. I went villager hunting and found her on a mystery island tour, so I convinced her to move to my island. Looking forward to spending time and making memories with Megan since she's my first new villager!
- Worked out at home and tried some new leg exercises.

5/22/23:
- I went for a walk outside in the evening.
- Played Pokémon Scarlet and caught a shiny Gumshoos.
- Played New Horizons and I donated some fossils to the museum.
- Worked up a good sweat at home with some more leg exercises.
- Took a picture of my Pokémon action figures that I used to collect avidly. I remember getting the Machamp from Marshall's and the two Happiny from Burger King as a child. Also, the Horsea, Seadra, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Gloom, Vileplume, Mr. Mime, and Jynx were all figures I got from San Francisco. I even have some of the anime characters like Ash and Misty!

Pokemon Action Figures 2.jpg

- Ran errands today! I went to the bank, and then went shopping with my grandma to make sure she had enough food in. I'm happy I saw her today, and also that I bought all the food I wanted. I even got all the ingredients to make Japanese beef curry using the Golden Curry blocks I bought as a souvenir :)

- Got some more info on the paid internship/summer job I'll be starting next week!

- I finished one of my assignments last night, so I'm very happy that's complete. I haven't turned it in yet, I might do that tonight. Only one more essay to finish before I'm completely done for the school year 😄

- Wore a pretty good outfit today, I'm hoping my interest in fashion is returning a little bit. I'll need hobbies for this long summer break 😅

Today and yesterday have been really good!

- I've been continuing to love on and take care of the kitties. 🐱

- I had enough time to get everything I wanted to get done yesterday. 📊

- I had a lot of laughs at work yesterday. It was great. Speaking of work, I managed to earn some more recognition by going above and beyond in my responsibilities. Every day I feel like I'm getting closer to my dream. Every time I think I'm limited by something, I manage to go beyond. :giggle: 💚
