For me a couple things do...like! Playing pokemon! Listening to music I love too. ACNL has been added to my list of pick me ups too.
(I can't thank my friend enough for gifting me it to be quite honest..) Also singing helps soothe me as well.

How about you?

Not much really. I only really get over things with time and until then they play on my mind and prevent me from doing things I like to do. I tend to expend all my energy on finding a solution to whatever is bothering me even if it's futile.

Oftentimes, it feels like nothing can. If something that truly upsets me happens, I will fixate on it and run it over and over and over in my mind and be incapable of distracting myself. My stomach will be flipping and my chest will be buzzing and I'll be trembling head to toe and I'll go through mental rituals in my mind of why it's ok and I should calm down, but then I'll have another bad thought and I'll have to start over again. Thankfully, in the past month I've only gotten this upset once, but awhile ago when I was in a worse place it was happening often and I hated it, I wish I didn't get so upset.

If I'm only mildly upset, listening to certain songs or singing can help put me in a better mood though!

;w;
Oh maaaan, I feel that... I can get the same way too.. like I'll fixate on it and keep thinking on it and let it consume me cause I'm a big weenie cry baby that's paranoid as heck and assumes the worth possible outcome in most situations. I'm trying to work on it though.

I'm happy to hear you haven't been getting as upset, like it's been less! That's good and I'm happy for you!

Depending on what's bumming me out, playing games, taking a nap, hanging out with a friend, music, or watching something funny usually helps.

i try to figure out the root of whats upsetting me and how i can live with it mostly

other than that i watch a favorite episode of game grumps and eat a comfort food. the ultimate problem solver (to me lol)

I'd play video games, most likely zelda. The series is my childhood so having a diversion from thinking negatively is a pretty good tactic for me. And just on my end, I pray to God that my sadness and burdens would go away. There's a time for everything, whether you'd be sad or happy. :)

Was just watching GG to fall asleep last night lol

in my extreme breakdowns, i usually have to wait it out since i'm too shaky to actually do anything. when it's less extreme i talk to my boyfriend if he's online or play a video games. sometimes i'll watch some youtube or look at stupid jokes, honestly anything goes i'm so desperate lol

My best friend Jason always comforts me & helps me with my problems and vice versa ♡

watching horror movies helps... as does re-watching things! but i feel the same way with acnl!!

When I?m really upset, which very rarely, if ever happens, I tend to have to wait for the next day to start and sleep it off. If I?m just mildly upset about something though I either play video games, watch anime, or just think about the positives and shrug it off. :)

EDIT: Watching something that?s funny helps too, particularly when I?m sad about something.

Eating, though it's hard to coordinate. :)
Wish I could find Youtube channels that could distract me anymore...a lot of the channels I used to watch got kiddified or stopped posting regularly

i'd say my top three things that immediately help are music, reading, and certain video games (acnl, stardew valley, the sims, pokemon, zelda). i'll usually do one of those things + let myself fall asleep, and that helps a lot.
