What comforts you when you feel really upset?

when I'm really upset I personally just lay in bed and scroll through Pinterest. I'm always finding things on there that make me happy, so looking through all the pics for even a few mins can make me feel better. sometimes drawing helps too. I generally don't like doing things like playing games when I'm really upset, because I need to calm my mind down and make it focus on just one thing. strenuous activities don't help, no matter how much I enjoy them. I have to take a moment and basically form a little bubble that I can hide in for like 10-15 minutes, and then I'm okay.

also, I like to lay in bed with my dog too (he's an ESA after all). I haven't been able to do that lately because this college makes it very difficult to bring ESAs to the dorms. I'm still trying to get the paperwork filled out and approved. hopefully I can have him here with me soon.

Mmm crying
really feelin this one too

For me a couple things do...like! Playing pokemon! Listening to music I love too. ACNL has been added to my list of pick me ups too.
(I can't thank my friend enough for gifting me it to be quite honest..) Also singing helps soothe me as well.

How about you?

Family and pets always seem to help me. Listening to music as well.

The thing that really gets me into a better headspace is time. The further I am from the event that messed me up to where I am now, I dunno how to explain it but it helps. IMMEDIATELY when I'm upset though, my dog can pretty much tell. And his googly face (he's a handsome pug, I swear) and snuggles help quite a bit.

When I'm upset in a sad way...I actually don't bother to make myself feel better
Now when I'm angry upset, then I just go back whatever I was doing on that day and don't comfort myself. I really have no idea what makes me feel better when upset.

i usually go for a run or rewatch a good tv show. those two things always make me feel better and more uplifted : )

My cats are the biggest comfort to me especially now that my dad and I aren’t talking 🥰

sorry I have no clue why it’s upside down

Listening to music or venting usually helps me feel better.

Cuddling with my cats. Like most pets, they know when something is wrong.

I usually pop the movie The Philadelphia Story in when I've had a bad day. That's my go-to feel better film.

If things are really bad/feeling sick, I have taken my Raggedy Ann doll from when I was little down from her spot. She's fragile from age, so I don't handle her much, but she's held all my secrets since I was a baby and hugging her makes me feel better.

-my dog
-music
-youtube vids (anywhere from gaming vids to asmr)
-my toys
-laying outside for awhile either watching the clouds, stars, or just listening to nature
-talking to someone (always try to talk to someone if you can <3)

- talking to my friend Tristan (he brings me inner peace like I've never felt before lol)
- writing
- crocheting
- writing letters/designing letter layouts for my pen-pals
- bullet-journaling
- my dogs
- my stuffed animals... >> embarrassing..
- music . music is such a big comfort for me. i loveee music. so muchhhh <3
- sleeping or just laying down in a dark room with my blankets :3

  1. Removing myself from what made me upset to be alone by myself with some music
  2. channel my emotions in art form using ink or watercolour
  3. journal it all down, sometimes making it into a poem
  4. Fresh air in nature
  5. Sky gazing [unless it's really cloudy then I just stare at trees or rain, etc]

but music and breathing with space to contemplate and introspect is the best way for me.

Running for when I’m mad music when I’m sad/overwhelmed. Playing music helps especially because my brain zones out.

Cooking always makes me feel better, it allows me to channel my energy into something I can be proud of and it’s also something good to focus on with some music/radio or a podcast on.

I also like to watch tiktok videos (mainly cat ones) because they always cheer me up. I usually avoid mainstream social media’s like twitter because I find that impacts my mood quite negatively as well.

watching a good movie usually helps too, and having a cuddle!

Nothing wrong with finding comfort from stuffed animals; don’t be embarrassed :). I am an adult and I still hug my stuffed animals along with my cats. ^.^

Music and games. Nowadays it's leaning more towards games because they completely take my mind off of my anxieties.

well.. playing video games and animal crossing (especially new leaf), watching tv shows and movies i like, watching my favorite youtubers (especially ones who are funny or have relaxing videos), listening to my favorite songs and jammin.. i get really anxious a lot and my stomach starts to hurt really bad which i can't really prevent or cope with, but if this happens then i just do the things i listed. my cats come to sit with me while i'm crying sometimes and that makes me feel better.. oh! i also like to talk to my friends, especially a certain friend because she's very knowledgable and she's really good at cheering me up!

It's weird and may be unrelatable for mostly people but that feeling of tiredness/sleepiness after a good long cry and then going to sleep lmao

Just a good cry to be honest, but I also take walks to brush off my feelings and refresh the mind.
