Many moons ago I went to college to try to be a music teacher. After a disagreement with my folks, I switched to business but really found it boring. I then switched over to history to see about becoming a history teacher but decided to leave when I needed to start working. Right now, I've been considering going back to school and be on the computer side of things but we'll see!

I got an associates degree for administrative medical assisting sitting in a box. Not what I wanted to go for, and I didn't land a job in that either, but you play the cards you are dealt with at the time.
If I could go back without any hinderance, I would probably go for digital arts because it would be amazing to make 3d models honestly and improve on animation in general, programming which I have been pursuing on my own at home anyway, or my original pursuit of vet tech which still appeals to me greatly.
I got a bachelor's in Business, which is boring BUT... I'm planning on getting my masters in Marketing or something then getting a second degree on something I really care about. Life is short and learning new things is fun! Hopefully, I can take up anthropology in the future when I can pay for my own education. ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)˚๐*˟♡

I wanted to learn art. I taught myself a lot. It’s one of those things where you need a foot in early or its unreasonably hard to make a career out of and I was held back from going to ANY classes for it so I gave up. I wouldn’t want to do art anymore anyway.
I’d probably pursue a tradie career now like painting or engineering, but since I’m a girl people wouldn’t take me seriously, so yeah, I don’t really have any career for myself in mind.
I have a bachelor of nursing. I enjoyed what I learned, but I've also always wanted to do something in a more creative field so I might one day go back to school. Maybe for some kind of design? Graphic design or interior design idk I'll have to look into it
I started with nursing, then public relations, then marketing , then the last one was vet school. I did not enjoy any of those and decided college and university were not for me. I figured eventually when I figured out what I wanted to do with my life, I would go back. I didn’t want to continue switching majors and accumulating debt for something I wasn’t too sure on. I never went back, but it’s not something I regret. I took to working full time and that’s working for me. I found a job that has many opportunities and ways I can grow. Now I’m branching out to property managing, and I’m loving it so far.

I have a bachelor's of science in biology with a concentration in microbiology and a minor in anthropology. I kind of wished I had stayed an extra year to get a BA in anthropology on top of that, but it is what it is. I've started looking at master's options, although I am somewhat seriously considering getting an associate degree in nursing.

I graduated after studying business administration, but I wanted to study zoology or exotic animal management. However, animal husbandry careers are sadly severely underpaid. It’s very disheartening when your love and passion can not provide you with a stable living and future. I would be working well below a living wage and I live in a state that has a very high cost of living. I would be in poverty, so in order to have a more decent financial life I had to rethink everything. I do want to retire one day. My goals have definitely changed because of that. My hope is to continue my volunteer work with wildlife and eventually get into doing ambassador work with ambassador animals in sanctuaries and teaching the public about why these species are important and why we should be caring about our environment. I would be pretty happy to get out of banking and maybe work remotely with a non profit and then volunteer with wildlife outside of work.
I don’t enjoy the medicine side of animal science and animal care so being a vet was never an option for me. I don’t mind administering medicine and treating aliments and wounds, but I don’t like much else in animal medicine.

Hello fellow animal lover! I’d love to pick your brain sometime on this subject. I turned away from zoology/animal care due to the poor pay. I can’t do medicine because I think it’s too overwhelming for me, but I have such a huge passion for animal welfare and rehabilitation. My dream is to work in education with animal ambassadors. I know I can achieve that goal through volunteer time and self studies. I would just love to pick your brain about things.
