What do you do for a living?

Sounds like we are all fairly busy people! I keep joking that after covid i'm going to be rich but I need to finish my degree first, haha! I recently went for an interview with Dell and the feedback was abysmal, took them several weeks to reply and the feedback was very confusing.. they went with my app idea and I explained it to the interviewers yet they said I didn't take a leading role or was consistent (I have an entire design document on the app). Honestly, I think the head of it just disliked me. I got that vibe the entire interview. So, I'm going for their competitors! Haha.

I'm a scalehouse operator for a municipal transfer strain/recycle center. I handle all the traffic, paperwork, cash flow, and calls coming into the site. Right now, we're in our off-season, so it's a bit quieter, but come summer, things are non-stop from when the gate opens until it closes.

I've been there 23 years, and I have another 12 or so until retirement. It's stressful, but also fun, so I'm happy.
