What do you guys do with your photo studio?

I haven't used it besides for the Wedding month event. I've seen people do some cool videos and screenshots with it. I'm just not motivated enough to commit to it lol.

I mostly use it as a way to test outfits on my animals before I gift them, but I also sometimes create mock-ups of changes I want to make to their houses, too. I also keep one of the rooms as a "trophy" room with all my obtained villager photos on the wall.

i only use it for 2 reasons:
  • see what outfit colors a new villager looks good in
  • in terms of my amiibo cards, i like seeing if a potential new resident looks nice with the other villagers (as in... they don't stick out too much compared to the others on my island)
people are pretty talented when it comes to decorating the rooms but i can't be bothered with it lol

Wait... people turn them into things? I just use it as a photo studio to take pictures, none of the rooms are permanently decorated 😅

I haven't used it since the wedding event. I prefer to decorate with villager photos rather than posters, so I don't have much need for it. I admire the great photos other people achieve, but it seems like it would be time consuming to get the room or set right and then to invite everyone and get the correct expressions. Yep. Kudos to people who use the studio--many of them get amazing results.

I decorate it as my little “cottage in the woods”. I also used it to experiment with a different interior design style. Since my own house is pastel aesthetic, I changed it up and decorated my cottage to be cluttered ghibli-core.

I rarely use it. But when I do, I use it to test outfits for my villagers. I probably used it the most during the Wedding Season.

i use it to test out new room ideas, try an outfit on a villager to see how it looks before gifting it to them, unlock posters and enter the occasional tbt event that involves acnh interior design. :’)

Oh yeah. Completely forgot about the TBT events we had last year. I really enjoyed decorating at the studio for those.

Whenever there's a holiday I decorate the entire room and then shoot some pictures! I just did the same for prom and Christmas as well and it was a lot of fun. Other than that it also helps with planning rooms or villager outfits

to be honest, I don't use it at all and it is pointless for me except for wedding event and sanrio card to get the items without the camping site.
I did not bother to buy the poster also, it is a shame because I like Harvey personality. I wish I could talk to him more often.

I just turned mine into different hang out spots like a coffee shop or diner. I use it to take a group photo everytime I have a villager moving out and also to get their poster.
I did a similar thing, and I also take the group photo when a villager moves out!

Mostly, each room is a different type of room where I can take a group photo.

There's a party room (tables, chairs, lighting, garland and food), and you can swap out tablecloth colour or light colour depending on whose party. You can do moving out and birthday's here, or even better is to have a party room and a separate birthday party room with the birthday decor.

There's a portrait room, where the back row sit on stools and the front row sit on the floor.

The entrance is sort of like a waiting room with sofas etc. Where we don't take pictures.

The worst idea I came up with was a yoga studio. Each villager had their own mat. It was cute for one picture where we did a synchronised workout picture. But it's not good for more than that. 😆

Then you can have a room for the holiday theme, e.g. bunny day.

i haven't used it much yet, but i'd like to do some photoshoots now that i think about it ^^

I turned it into an apartment building and designed a studio in each room on the ground floor. I enjoy finding different ways to squeeze a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom into a tiny space and in different styles 😂 Two rooms (upstairs and basement) I keep empty for staged photo shoot ideas or other reference ideas. Currently my top floor is a scene I made for a past bell tree event and the basement is a scene for a “class photo shoot” group photo.

Oh, that actually sounds like a lot of fun! I'd be too worried I would spend too much time and wouldn't get my island chores done if I did that. 😂

I actually got into decorating at Harvey's because I was a bit bored of my usual island routine. Ended up spending days of gameplay just logging on and flying straight to Harvey's because it was so much fun! Definitely a fun little break from the main game if you need it :)

Right now I only use it to test outfits on villagers and get their posters. I never thought about decorating the whole place though, I always forget it doesn't reset when you leave. I might try decorating it later!

sometimes I use it to make mockups of rooms I want to design in my house, but otherwise it goes unused for me!
