Everything and anything under the sun, it really depends on which kind of salad I am wanting.
My favorite savory salad is a taco salad, usually butter or iceburg mix lettuce, black beans with taco seasoning, cheese, olives, avocado, tomatoes, lots of cilantro, crushed chips and ranch dressing.
For a more sweet salad I really like all kinds of fruits in it, usually with a spinach/arugula mix, dried cranberries, mixed nuts, including walnuts, almonds all chopped up, sometimes even sunflower seeds, mmm, apples, maybe grapes too, some feta cheese or any other strong cheese is really good with the fruits, and usually I'll have a vinaigrette over it, my fave is raspberry, but there is a really great pear Gorgonzola that I have been loving.
I also really really love Cesar salad, and for that I just like it normal, but with lots of parmesean, shrimp, especially the bay shrimp in a big quantity and croutons that have soaked in the dressing and gotten a bit soggy. Honestly soggy salad is my favorite, like if I just made a salad and everything is all crunchy and stuff that's ok, but like, if I make a salad and wait until later to eat it and it's all wilted and the dressing has had time to soak into everything it's really really great ok?
I honestly love salads, I used to also be addicted to the bagged mix salads that have all the stuff in it? I used to LOVE the asian ones but they changed the dressing and now I don't like it as much... but yeah, salad is so good when it's done right.
