What do you think about the Elephants? (Discussion)

I don’t really like them. There’s a few that I think are cute but I’d never want them on my island.

I like the elephants and I have had Chai in New Leaf and on New Horizons, so she's probably my favourite.

I also think Ellie and Tia are really cute. The elephants aren't my favourite species, but they are sweet.

Tia and Paolo are cute... Ellie is kinda cute too. Chai doesn't entirely do it for me, her design is a bit odd. the rest... meh. wish they all had better mouths.

I love elephants in real life, but I imagine it's hard to translate them into AC form. I'd say they did an alright, but not an amazing job.

I agree with this. Just like the lions, they look "off". I do wish more of them aside from Tucker had tusks, as I feel like it's a very iconic feature that they just skipped when designing them, making them all look like calves (and yes, female elephants have tusks too!).

I think they are alright. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get one, but if one happened to move in at random, I’d be ok with it. There are a few of them which I like design wise, and others I don’t really like that much.

I think it must have been difficult to make such a huge animal with such distinct features into an animal crossing sprite. They look a little off to me, but there certainly are worse ones.

i like them! i don't have any on my island but i do like a handful of their designs. their stylized designs fit animal crossing, but i would like to see a design where their ears are bigger :3
i also love elephants irl, they're my favorite animal. however they don't particularly strike me in the game

I like them a lot. My faves are Cyd, Axel, Dizzy, Tucker and Tia. I've had all of those on my island before except for Cyd, who I sadly never did manage to find.

Elephants are one of my favorites. I’ve loved elephants irl since I was a child, and several of the ones in game just make me happy.
I have 3 elephants on my island, and it was hard for me to draw the line there. Lol
I fully acknowledge they aren’t everyone’s cup of tea though.

I like elephant villagers. I have yet to choose my favorites. The only villager I had was Opal in New Leaf.

I love the elephants so much, they’re by far my favorite of the “large” species and I appreciate how most of them are relatively simple design wise but still manage to be distinct and unique. My New Leaf town had 3 different elephants that never wanted to move away: Dizzy who was a starter, Margie who moved in very soon, and Tia who moved in after about a year, so I’m also sentimental toward them. My biggest criticism with the elephants though is their personality variety: only 2 males that aren’t lazies, and there’s only one female that isn’t a normal or snooty and she’s exclusive to an amiibo card. No sisterlies or smugs either.

Also if we’re going to talk about awkward eyes look at the kangaroos when they’re facing forward, absolutely the best thing.

The elephant villagers itself, I'm very neutral on. They're designs don't offend me, but also have never succeeded to grab me. Tia is cool, and I like Margie, but not enough to have ever considered having them as dreamies. I rather like some of the designs of the male elephants too, for example I love Tucker being a mammoth, but there are so many lazies and I already love so many lazy villagers!

Maybe my experience with them is a bit tainted as well, as the only elephant villager who ever lived on any of my towns was Opal in Wild World. I was still pretty young then, and she was a snooty villager and while I would love snooties to be really rude again, as a child it made me really not like her because she was pretty mean to me haha. And I don't love her design.

Dizzy’s my favourite villager of all time, and Cyd is now a close second! I have them both on my island. Other than than those two, I’ve only had Opal, who was my favourite snooty in my NL game. I think Axel is pretty cute but the other elephant designs don’t interest me as much!

The elephants are fine...Tia is obviously probably the best designed one Cyd is fun too

That looks interesting to say the least. It looks like a giant blowup elephant that someone would have in their yard for decoration, and not a cute one.

I, with my own personal opinion to myself, nope. Don't like any big size animal in my island. I dislike Chai but I have to keep her til she give me her photo which really takes up my time. I do love elephant in real just not in AC unfortunately.

they’re ok, chai or tia is probably the best out of the elephant species. i kind of don’t like the side mouth placement but then again i kind of do, it depends on the elephant’s overall design. i’ve never actually considered an elephant for my island before.

Some of them are kinda cute, but their overall model isn't my thing.
