Evolutions which are hinged upon having a high level of friendship with a Pok?mon are probably my least favorite, but that might have more to do with baby Pok?mon. As someone who likes to breed teams with good IVs, Natures, Abilities, and moves, I can't stand having to raise up, say, a Cleffa I hatched into a Clefairy so I can use it as parent material for a better one. I doubly hate this when a specific time of day is involved, as is the case for Budew, Chingling, Happiny, Riolu, and Snom. Having them hold a Soothe Bell, getting haircuts/massages done for them, being forced to keep them in your party the entire time until they finally evolve because putting the Pok?mon in a PC Box lowers its friendship? It sooner builds resentment rather than endearment because even if you're doing all of that, it still takes forever.
Trade evolutions which require the Pok?mon to be holding a specific item are also a bother. Depending on the game you're playing, the item could be hard to come by and/or expensive. Even if that's not the case, hope you either have multiple consoles and games to trade between or a friend you could trade with.
Another mildly annoying one is when a Pok?mon has to know a specific move to evolve, like anything that needs to learn Ancient Power or something. Why would you want to waste a moveslot on your Piloswine or Yanma for example, especially in the older games where you had to pay some form of alternative currency like heart scales to relearn a move.
Location-based evolution like for Leafeon and Glaceon kind of sucks, but it's not the worst.
Dishonorable mentions to Sliggoo needing to be a certain level while it's raining, Tyrogue because it's a pain and a waste of resources if you care about EVs (EV reducing berries for junk EVs you earned, vitamins if you used them, time), and Wurmple.
I'm actually fond of Inkay's evolution method, to be honest. Malamar is one of my favorite Pok?mon, and the evolution requirements actually make sense when one considers their overall design and its signature move Topsy-Turvy. People might not figure it out on their own and have to look it up online, including myself, but once you know what it is it's sort of a no duh thing and I find the concept charming and sort of fun. I likewise don't find something like Galarian Farfetch'd evolution requirement that much of a bother and like the idea. Same for stuff like Pancham. Stuff like this is interesting.
Galarian Yamask's though? As others have said throughout the thread, absolutely absurd.

No time requirement for them actually, just a level requirement of 30 or higher while holding the console upside down during level up.for me inkay was definitely a very weird one to do, cos not only did it have time requirements form memory, but you also had to be holding your ds upside down. It did make me laugh my bum off when i did it for the first time tho, which was fun.
