Imo it's alright. True, it's not natural in nature or intended to do so, but the study of it might be helpful in the future. So what do you guys think?

I dunno. I think it's wrong if it's done on humans but shouldn't be really done on animals either I guess?? Unless it's for important scientific research, I mean it shouldn't be done excessively for dumb reasons.

I think it's very interesting. I also don't think it's against nature - plants, fungi, bacteria, and a host of other creatures use cloning as their main source of reproduction.

The idea of it does unsettle me though. I wouldn't get cloned if I had a choice. I really wouldn't want someone with my exact DNA out there doing who knows what.

There was a thread like this, let me find my answer and copy and paste it here

You mean... clone your answer?

Eh, I think it's a lil scary. Knowing that there is such a power out there, the power and technology to clone something. While it can be used for good, I hope that we don't advance far enough that we start cloning the wrong things and replacing people and such. It's cool that we can clone organs and stuff, that can help save lives, but whatever develops those organs will have to suffer to give them to us...

I can't find it and I forgot who made it :/

Found it! ^?^

They have to 1. get a live cell from the person you want to clone by getting a piece of your skin. 2. They have to get empty eggs from a woman, which means doing surgery and getting the eggs from her ovaries. 3. Once they get the egg they inject the DNA from the live skin cell. 4. They have to shock the eggs like if it was "sperm" so that its fertile. 5. They have to open up another woman and insert the egg that is fertile inside her ovaries, making her pregnant. Obviously this isn't humane. Everyone thinks its like in cartoons where one person goes into a machine and a clone comes out .-.

also if the cloning didn't work they have to do it on another surrogate mother which means opening up another woman

We shouldn't do it. Think about how you'd feel if you were the clone. I don't think it's a very good thing to do on animals either.

I think it's cool but I wouldn't want it done on humans, I think some butthole would start a war with the clones or something.

I find it very interesting...not sure how I feel about it morally though. Can't imagine closing a human being, that would be quite messed up? I don't know. Not really fair to do it to animals either I don't think. I understand they do these things for scientific reasons but cloning is a bit too far...kind of blows my mind thinking about having a cloned person walking around. I'm sure they woody ever be able to do that though, maybe...

It's kinda creepy and scary to me like if I REALLY think about it! It's cool.. but creepy. Weird stuff.

i mean,, as far as i know clones arejust the exact same dna?? and dna isnt the only thing that makes u eho u are, things like how u were brought up etc affect u as well
so even tho cloning could b kinda like creating a copy of someone it also wont b likethat.

as for cloning ppl to make super humans through gene modification i am against that.

That's what really scares me though. I don't have a record and I work in a bank so any illegal things would mean the end of my career. If someone out there with my exact DNA and they're committing crimes, as far as the evidence is concerned, I could be the one ending up in jail instead of my clone (or my original if I'm actually the clone).
