What does your farm look like?

My farm is two-tiered and very empty right now:

Each plot is 5x5. I'm not sure what I'll do if there's way more crops than expected -- maybe just cycle them? I was planning to split some of the fields in half to accommodate 2 types of crops per field, so total of 8 possible crops in the current setup. A few of my villagers have smaller "farms" for pumpkins, like Dobie's here:

Might switch the mushrooms (bottom left) and the pumpkins out for some actual crop instead, but on the other hand, I really do like how it looks right now.

Here is the humble Farmhouse.

Here is the Farm's Fields, where the Island's crops will soon be grown.

Hypno KK is playing over the entire farmland.

My current farm is stupid and useless, lol

This is my "official" farm and I'll keep it because it works and entices my villagers to hang out here. Luckily they have stopped singing to the pumpkins.

But I made a temporary large farm so I can grow all the things. It's ugly but it'll get the job done.

So many nice photos of farms in here. I wonder though, for people with heavily themed islands that is very far from cottagecore or natural island (city or elegant islands) how will you guys plan to incorporate a farm in your islands? That’s gonna be super interesting to see because I myself have been thinking about this for a long time. I recently restarted and don’t have a decorated island yet and I’m delaying picking a theme because of this. I was at first wanting a more city type aesthetic but when I think about the cooking aspect of the game, I’m hesitant because I can’t think of a way to incorporate the crops in that theme so seeing some inspiration from others would be so cool.

Here's my current farm, expanded to be ready for new crops (and my poor character looking exhausted after a few days worth of work) I may end up editing it a bit more when the crops actually come out (maybe removing/moving the signs, but the plots just looked so empty for now, lol. I always have a farmer villager and currently Peggy's running things!

maybe look up eco city aesthetic photos for inspiration? People still have their own gardens in cities. Especially if they lack a community garden at a park.

I just did up something nice and easy with the area near my house, since I didn't really have a dedicated farming spot before now but figured it'd be worthwhile to have a decently sized area given how many crops we know about (and the possibility there's more we don't know about). It also doubles as a nice cemetery spot:

These farms are all so lovely!! Definitely giving me some inspiration to amp up my gardens after the update drops. :]

This looks so good!!! Also, cycling them is a good idea! Like having seasonal produce c:

NYC has many beautiful and bountiful community gardens that are basically converted empty lots, so even the most urban of islands might be able to pull off something similar.

I'm not sure if this would work depending on what your ideas are, but speaking for my own island, the majority of it is very heavily city (or like...smallish, grubby town, sort of) themed, with railroads, paved roads, steel staircases, etc. I sort of sectioned off an area of my island as the farmlands, the way you'd expect a small town to taper off into once you move away from the center downtown area, you know? So I have the city center, and then some farmlands, and then some more rough wilderness.

I do have my dream address in my signature if you'd like to look, and posted a few screenshots of my farm above!

But I could definitely see the difficulty with an "elegant" island theme, not sure how to handle that one as well.

My farm is currently nonexistent.. but I do have a small area where I plant 5 of each crops!

Well, my farm is like a mess. Pure chaos. Just plant everything together, quite a big area. Mostly for farming bells 😁.
Later, i want to move them to my house and make a nice farm, with silo, barns etc. Now my garden is full of flowers, keep trying with the hybrids. (Started my island like 6 weeks ago).

I am about to embark on creating a farming themed area for my island and LOVE all these pics. So inspiring! It's so hard to decide how many to plant and how to decorate. Would love to see if anyone has updated their old pics since then. 🍅🥕

Billington

I changed my farm areas since I posted in November.I replaced the flowers with fencing on Gilligan and on Billington I made the veggie area smaller and added a maintenance shack.

I don't have a picture or anything, but I put mine in rows with space in between to place something, and some simple fencing surrounding it
