What do you want Nintendo to clarify in a Nintendo Direct about the game?
Here are the most important to me:
(1) Clear explanation of how the saving system will actually work (manual vs autosaves, cloud save backup and download permissions)
(2) How online play will work (is there a friend/bff system? Voice chat? Keyboard support? Does it use the Nintendo app? How about the island - can you play with people you don't know there like in the past game? I want to see it in action how they join up)
(3) More info on the 'energy system'. What kinds of things will require eating a fruit to have the energy to do, or is it just moving a tree? How elaborate is this system?
At the moment, I'm really curious about any new villagers and how many we are getting at the end. Those which we saw so far looking promising. Otherwise, I would also like to know more about the crafting system in general.
i would like to know more about the crafting system and amiibo functionality!! people seem to be a bit peeved about the fact that theres a crafting system, but seem to forget that in the treehouse it was confirmed as an optional feature (you can purchase basic tools from tom nook). and i just really want to know more about how amiibos work. i have some villagers id like to bring into my town, but that may or may not even be an option. im just glad that its even in this game at all.
My main question is how will the save backups work. This is a game that most fans pour hundreds of hours into. To imagine losing that alone is anxiety-inducing. As it stands, we can't even transfer the save to a new console! I read that Nintendo is looking into a way to remedy this and hopefully they'll maintain that promise until a method is implemented.
My second question is will all the main characters return along with their respective roles. Brewster at the coffee shop, Blathers and Celeste at the museum, Kicks at his shoe shop, Gracie at her over-priced boutique, Dr. Shrunk at the club, and so forth.
Villager cap, patterns, character customisation - what new features have been added etc... I'm excited for everything but these are my prime on my list of wanting to discover!!! ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆
i want new villagers, npcs, more info on crafting--specifically what the different tool types mean--amiibo functionality so i know if i need to buy amiibo cards, and i suppose some word on save backup
The new villagers. And just like with Sword/Shield, I wanna see the new villagers that hasn't been revealed yet by non leaks. As I made it through the Sword/Shield leaks of new Pokemon not revealed in the trailers and it felt great knowing the new Pokemon blindly. I can do the same with New Horizons too.
The options in the poll I’m fine with learning when the game launches so I picked other. I want to know about the drawing patterns system and how that will work, since we haven’t seen any of that and the paths we’ve seen may be defaults we can choose in the game. I want to know if and how much of touch screen will be utilized for this, if there’s an ACNH edition stylus, or if we’ll mainly be drawing patterns with the joysticks.
I'm interested in how the Amiibo functionality will work, will we be able to use the cards to move in a villager?
Because, if I don't start off with my favorite villager, Sally. I could just scan her card to get her to move in.
Right now, I'm mostly curious about amiibo functionality. I have a few Animal Crossing amiibo figures and cards already, but I can't decide if it's worth it to get any more until we know what they do in the game.
Amiibo!
I'm planning to collect the old cards anyway, but for those waiting, just keep in mind that prices might rise if they announce functionality with the cards. It will also probably drop if there is no/weak functionality with them.
Don't waste time with technical issues like a Save backup. You do not sell a game by talking about its save backup functionality. Let,s talk about the random nature of every island, who are the villagers coming back in New Horizons, is there new villagers functionalities, where are the shops located, will there be new amiibo cards, how will patterns be drawn, etc.
Just, like, general knowledge. Keep most of the unlockable things and events a secret, talk about the basic functions that comes with New Horizon being a Switch game and explain the basic things of the game... like everything surrounding "owning" an island and the sorts... how's multiplayer? What do the Amiibo (cards) do? Is there anything drastically different from previous titles?
I'd really like to hear a confirmation of no microtransactions. I do not want microtransactions/gacha/lootboxes/etc in my Animal Crossing. If it's there, I will not buy this game.
Because of the way Nintendo is going, I am assuming there's going to be some sort of DLC packs though. They've been really embracing the DLC. I am OK with it as long as they are reasonable about it, which I feel like they most likely would.
