I was wondering what TBT is, what you can do with it, and how you get it as I see people using it to trade.

TBT is the wonderful online currency on this website. You can use TBT to buy Villagers, Items, and fancy collectibles that show under a person's profile~ You get TBT by making posts, or just talking on the forum.
I believe the only places that don't give out TBT is the TBT Marketplace & The Basement. (someone correct me if i'm wrong <3)

Yes, this. The currency is actually called Bell Tree Bells or BTB but we use TBT instead. Don't ask why, we just do.

They don't have an official name besides "bells" actually! I've always just called them forum bells or forum currency just to make the distinction between the in-game currency and the one we use here.

You don’t earn TBT in the following boards:

- Any temporary boards for events (including the Woods) - they don’t even contribute to your post count
- The Bulletin Board
- The Introduction Board
- The TBT Marketplace
- The Museum Shop
- The Basement (except thread creation)
- The Cellar

how long a post does it have to be to get bells, if im looking to get bells, whats a quick way to get like 12 to buy villagers, do i make longer posts or do i post to more sections? also does it take a while for bells to update or do u get them isntantly
