I wanted my online name to be similar to my name, so I used a nickname that one of my mates used to called me. Although on other sites my username is mainly TeeTeeLeaf the reason behind that it because I wanted it to sound similar to 'tea leaves' lol.
I've always just enjoyed making up cute nicknames and usernames for myself based on small objects. It's been sort of an in-joke among... well, mostly myself, since around 2010.
It means light-sleep or nap. I pretty much never take naps so that's a good start.
But I picked it because an enemy in a video game I used to play were called Slooms. Thought it sounded nice. Picked it. It is now my name. On everything. Unless it's taken. In which case it's not. So it's usually not. But still. It's good.
Oh well, it's a character from Breath of the Wild..
she also reminds me of Nami (from League of Legends)
and Nami is my favorite champion in that game,
so I decided to rename to Princess Mipha
Knox is a name of one of my dogs, he was the second biggest in the litter and I'd assume to grow to be study like fort knox. Boy was I wrong, he's didn't really grow, more like extruded. He's the most lankiest/skinny one out of lot Twiggy would have been a better name.
Pyro because that's the name of my mayor, which I have no idea why. Ask me from four years ago, I'm sure he'll tell you.

But on other sites I usually have HelloSpy, which is from when I google translated a song and for some reason "HelloSpy" came out and I thought "Hey, that sounds like a cool username."
I've never been good at coming up with clever usernames, so I usually just stick with thetessagrace. The meaning behind it is simple. My name is Tessa and my middle name is Grace, and I think they sound pretty together. But, when I'm famous someday (probably never but ya know I can try) people will know that tessagrace, the indie rock artist, is called thetessagrace on her social media. (probably won't ever happen but still, at least you guys can hopefully someday say i knew that famous person!)
In the early days of the internet, I was trying to come up with a good username. Back then, I was heavily interested in anything mystic, occult-related, spiritual, etc. I still am interested in that kind of thing, but I'm not as obsessed as I was then. I tried out a couple of different usernames and ultimately settled on LadyDestani or LdyDestani which is an intentional misspelling of the word destiny because the correct spelling was always in use. I've been using this internet handle for more than 20 years now so it's basically become my internet persona and I feel more of a connection to this name than I do my given name.
Mine isn't all that interesting to be honest, I started using this name when my best friend pushed me to make a tumblr about 5/6 years ago. Before that I used to always go by the name Alpengiest on a lot of things. EerieCreatures came about mainly because of my writing, I usually write fiction focused on supernatural creatures, and I really love the word "eerie" (a version of it is also the name of one of my characters, my most favorite of them), so thus, eeriecreatures was born! I ended up really liking the sound of it and growing super attached to the name over the years, so now I use it pretty much whenever. c: I also tend to use variations of it sometimes too, like for example, eeriecrossing, which is my acnh blog.
I grew up in San Diego, and as far back as my memory can recall; San Diego is all I know. I have moved away long ago, so far away that I'm now on the opposite coast. My username is a nod to my "hometown".
Shame the Chargers also moved away.
Its my name. And my favorite numbers. 3 and 6 and the 0 just idk happened a long time ago and I never stopped using it. Wait. Is that even my username?
I use to use the same username on every site for years. When I turned 18 did I finally decide to make up a new one because the old one I felt embarrassed using, as I came up with it when I was in grade school. It was really cringy and edgy, but I guess the edge never really left because I came up with my current one hahaha. Nefarious was one of my favorite words at the time (still a fun word to say), King came from one of my favorite Pokemon, Nidoking.
