What is this symbol on the roost sign? (direct speculation)

The museum was supposed to have a gift shop based on the datamine from long ago. Probably part of the Roost and it could be that.

Remember the NL Museum had those 4 'display' rooms...I'm hoping they haven't returned because I found those useless for the most part...I just kept my fortune cookie prizes in there.

I think those would be very welcome here because of the focus on sharing your island with others. You could make some neat exhibitions I think.

Maybe it's just there for looks. When interacting with the sign, all you get is something like "Roost Open 24/7", it doesn't really imply it's anything else. In City Folk, Brewster could store Gyroids, so it could just be implying some kind of storage as an included service of the Roost.

Its just a sign. There is nothing really special about it. All we know is that the Roost will be open 24/7 so it will never close.

I highly doubt it'd be a hotel, though. That's just never been a thing in Animal Crossing games and I can't imagine they'd throw it in, considering the other things they could add instead. I would guess a museum gift shop/gyroid exhibit/upgraded or new shop. Of course, that's just my opinion, and I could be wrong. Bottom line is I'm not getting my hopes up for something THAT cool

...And there's also a chance it's just a random decoration. Never know with Nintendo It could also represent the other exhibits, as if it's pointing visitors to the other places in the museum (which... now that I think about, could very well be it).

I've seen some speculation before that if the Campsite where to get an upgrade it would turn into a Hotel, which doesn't make much sense because I am not sure how a Hotel would fit with the island theme. If we were able to fly to City where there was an actual Hotel it would make more sense and who knows you may see your past villagers who used to live on your island just sitting there. I remember in New Leaf when sometimes you go to Main street you sometimes see villagers who used to live in your town wondering around and sometimes they can be inside the shop.

To get back to the point, a Hotel would not make sense it could just mean that maybe at some point they would let us create our own exhibits similar to New Leaf, but at this point we really don't know for sure.

My best guess is that it's pictorial explanation of The Roost.

coffee beans icon + house icon = coffee house

I do think/hope they will eventually put something across from The Roost in the museum to balance it out, but I'm not sure there's enough information to relate it to that at this point in time.

Yes I honestly would LOVE to have those return. Back when I played NL I had a little shop on this site. I used those rooms as my "order fulfillment" rooms and it was really fun (maybe a little dorky lol). But they were so useful! And the rooms in our homes are so small... It'd be nice to have more space to decorate things.

I used to put all the Gyroids in the Exhibit back in New Leaf. I really hope they bring that back because that was such a great feature.

honestly when i think of hotel i dont think about a massive building but just like a little thing bed and breafast like. just two rooms maybe. i think that could work.
